It is by nature that people don't get satisfied. There are so many differences in the world that's why people tend to ask for more even if they've got what they've been asking for. The reason could be the things they see around them. There will always be things better than what we have so if people become aware of something better than what they have, they tend to ask for more... If we've got all the best, we won't crave. Unfortunately, there isn't any BEST at all... Even the makers of the supposed BEST ones make another BEST.. So dissatisfaction is actually a cycle...

Because the things of the earth do not satisfy. We have a longing in the heart for our Creator. I have found that I am so satisfied now that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The earth is transitory, God is eternal and that is what is missing in our soul.

Because we came to this Earth to grow and once we have accomplished something, we turn and say 'what's next', It's not that people don't appreciate what they have but most humans are constantly looking for that challenge. If we did not , the world would be a very complacent place with very little growth.

Maybe this is also a boon as if we all were satisfied lot then there would not be progress in the world because we would not have to prove ourselves to others, also so many inventions which we enjoy would not have existed if we were a satisfied lot

It is because we have an empty place in our lives that can only be filled by God. Most if not all people, including religious people struggle with this emptiness and try to fill it with stuff. It is not until we learn that it is in giving (not receiving) that we ever really fill that void.
It is just another example of the weakness of the flesh.

In what way? I could answer this from an infinite number of perspectives, but I have a feeling you are thinking of something in particular. If you can be more soecific on what it is you are looking for maybe I can at least attempt to help.

This dissatisfaction is a great tool of Mother Nature...this tool has brought us to a human from a crawling bug.

This sense of incompleteness/dissatisfication will end when we reach our next evolution...i.e. divinity
