You should be fine as long as she is happy and active.

Its unfortunate that the need to over feed is becoming so predominant in our pets. We fed the kids to a morbid obesity rate don't let someone tell you to do the same to your dog.

I think she should be fed just a bit more. Border collies should be lean but you shouldn't be able to see her ribs or pin bones. If your worried get her checked out at the vets, they will be able to tell you if she is underweight and give advice on feeding. Good luck, Border collies are extremely active and very intelligent.

Go visit a site specifically dedicated to Borders and compare with them. Puppies usually stay on the thin side... they're very active, growing bones and muscles and it's easier on their developing joints to be on the thin side.

Oh... and if your pup is NOT on a self feed system, check the dog food bag for amounts to feed.

It takes puppies awhile to fill out. She is in away going through puberty right now, her body is just growing so fast, she may look a little gangly. Follow the directions on the back of the food, don't over feed her bc you don't want her too become overweight once she's gotten out of that growth spurt.

at any age you should be taking your pet to the vet to get annual check ups and vaccinations. they will let you know if they think there is a problem with the animal.
