I thought that FREEDOWNLOADHQ was free, i got my visa bill and it was charged 52.93. for what? i called them , and send my time to cancel was up on sept. 7, 2006 . I removed it from my computer. i don't know what they do. she said have a nice day.
why did I download it? i guess because i thought it was free. and might be of some use. this is unarmed robbery.i will protest with my credit card co. judi b.

Any time some place like that asks you for your credit card number...it's definitely not free. If you want free downloads, go to http://www.download.com or http://www.tucows.com

A quick read or the terms and conditions made it clear that this was a subscription service requiring payment. When they asked for a credit card, this too should have indicated that you were going to be billed. Yes the website is not completely clear but the Internet has always been a buyer beware item and you should have known better. Cancel the service immediately and in writing.

any time you give someone your credit card number expect a bill from them why do you think they ask for it. I would call the credit card place and explain it to them if anyone can do anything its them. good luck

Anytime you give your visa card number online, it won't be free, no matter what they told you. You downloaded from their site, so itis time to pay the piper. It doesn't matter if you deleted it or not...
