My we are a little prone to over exaggeration eh? The government is doing what it has to protect this nation with the least inconvenience to its citizens. You are only targeted if you have given them a reason to target you. We have 300 million in this country and if you are so naive think they can spy on each and every one of us,then you are reading way too many comic books.

That IS the question, isn't it.

If such a state of affairs is allowed, then we are no longer the FREE country we've always claimed to be.

The Patriot Act is an extremely dangerous precedent, and does nothing but invite a Police State, and greatly diminish the rights of AMERICAN CITIZENS.

The so-called "War on Terror" has been ONE BIG LIE. This administration USED 9-11 as an excuse to invade a country that neither had any connection to that event, nor is THE source of terrorism, while it diminished AMERICAN'S rights, freedoms, and protections. The Patriot Act effectively protects GOVERNMENT FROM US, but protects US FROM NOTHING. Iraq is the "War to Secure Future Oil Profits"....the "War on Terror" is waged against the citizens of AMERICA.

Over the past 20 years, our police have systematically and increasingly been militarily trained, aliented from civilians, and desensitized to civilian casualties. War games in California, as well as Hurricane Katrina, were opportunities for the military to practice disarming the civilian populace.

The "War on Terror" did nothing but alter and unbalance the power structure in our country, and effectively diminish our citizen's rights, and OUR ability to oppose or affect our government.

A terrorist can harm you, or harm your property, but failing that, CANNOT AFFECT your FREEDOM or CIVIL RIGHTS.

ONLY our own government can deny us our freedom, rights, or liberty.
