you can give the mom a calcium vitamin or you can give some cottage cheese with her food and to help her with her milk supply. well the pups if you try to feed the pups you need to give them a milk replacement formula but still have them nurse off the mom that will also help her milk supply come in faster. but as long as she has some milk then she will be ok. you can check to see if she has milk by sqeezing the nipples a little to see if milk comes out if it does then keep the pups on her and make sure that each ppup gets a nipple. i breed golden retrievers and this happened to me and i had to do the same thing with the cottage cheese and i still kept the pups on mom and within a couple of days her milk came in so fast that she was leaking all over the place. the milk will come as long as you let the pups nurse on her the more suction they do the more milk she will produce. good luck

This is not the most helpful answer probably, but you might be aware that they sell a cat milk formula for kittens. I don't know if they have a similar thing for dogs, but I would imagine you could probably use the cat one for your puppies, it would possibly be better than feeding them cows milk. Check with a vet to see if they think you could use it.

Call the vet, they will suggest a replacement/milk formula, bt you will need to let the vet possibly check the pups and the mom to make sure there is nothing else wrong. From there the vet will tell you how to feed the pups, and it will be a routine, so prepared to be patient.

If you give the mom puppy canned and dry food it helps her produce more milk also. Along with vitamins.

You don't feed the babies anything... you go to the vet and get a prescription for a drug that helps the Mother to produce more milk. I hope you at least have the Mother on vitamins.

You will have to go to the vet and get supplement milk for the puppies, also make sure you are giving vitamins to your female to help with the nutrients she needs while nursing, talk to your vet about it.

How old are they? What breed?

Feed them until they are full and fall asleep.

I use goats milk, but make sure that each gets on the dam regularily, she will have antibodies to disease in her milk.

Puppies do NOT do well on cows milk.

feed them luke warm cows/buffalo milk mixed with drinking water in 70-30 ratio. use feeder bottle for this purpose or u can also try using a spoon bt that can be really tedious & messy.

feed them 3-4times a day bt not heavily

remember (70 milk - 30 water)

1st off, how olds your litter?
How many times a day are you feeding the dam?
KEEP FOOD & FRESH WATER DOWN AT ALL TIMES.
If your pups are 4-6 weeks old, you should already be introducing food to them.

The petstore has puppy formula.

I would also suggest starting the weaning process as soon as you feel teeth coming in.
