I am reading Nehemiah. I had never really given any time to this book, but His example of being a man of prayer is really encouraging and beautiful.

What are you currently studying and what are you gleaning these days?

I have not read that Velvet Elvis yet, but my husband has and he has shared some of it with me. It does sound great. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Soulsista:
I agree. I too am humbled by what Paul had to say. It is so easy to get drawn in by the world.

That does sound like an amazing study. So much of our Christian walk parallels the temple structure (design) and the ceremonies around it. I think I will give that one a try. Are you using a commentary or study guide other than the Bible?

What a wonderful approach. That sounds like something I will do as well. James is an amazing book of life lessons. I am always humbled to tears when I read it. May God bless you with your study.

Tina:

I am sorry, but much of what you have shared is truth mixed with lies. Thank you for taking the time to share, but please pray for guidence from the Holy Spirit. I am not sure what manner of teaching you are involved in, but it is not the same teaching that Jesus alone taught. May God bless you with eyes to see and ears to hear the TRUTH and the TRUTH ALONE.

One of the seminary professors that I have in school asked us to read the book of James 30 times in 30 days and journal on what we get out of it each time we read it. I have already done a complete exegesis on Chapter 2, verses 14-26 Faith and Deeds (or in some bibles faitn and works) When i started this paper i wondered how am i going to get 15 pages from 14 verses, by them time i was done writing on it, i had to go back and edit the original paper.

This year I am studying Romans.

The letter that inspired both Constantine and Martin Luther and many other people.

While Paul may repeat himself over and over in this letter, he makes sure that he describes one idea in enough different ways for all of us on whatever learning level we are at , can understand one of them.

Live by the law of the old testament? Paul says we will fail, and then what? No recourse, no remission.
Live by the grace that has been bestowed on us? Paul says we will fail and then what? Forgiveness is ready and waiting when we turn away from the disobedience.

Wonderful letter that many Jews who do not believe the new testament should read, because it addresses many of the issues that they struggle with even today.

I am currently studying the rituals performed in both the Tabernacle and the Temple, and discovering how Jesus Christ fulfilled them. This subject has also given me additional insight into some of the things we read in Revelation, such as the meaning of the 1/2 hour of silence prior to the first trumpet judgement (Rev. 8:1).

It's been an AMAZING study subject that I recommend for anyone who's interested.

Peace.

I am currently revisiting the Gospels. I just finished Matthew and should be moving on to Mark today. I have a study Bible, so it takes a little longer to go throught all the little notes at the bottom.

Have you ever read Rob Bell's Velvet Elvis? Very inspiring.

Actually i'm reading the one year bible, but i also just finished reading the book of Galatians..Paul would really be disgusted by the things going on in some of the churches today and how people are so quickly turned from the Truth of the Gospel.

The Pentateuch: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy.

...I have been enjoying my Amplified Bible - some of the passages I have found are so neat, like Ephesians 2:4
"But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,"
...I never thought of God's love toward us as "intense"
**********************************************
...And Philippians 4:6-7
6 "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

7 "And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [d]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
...In Phil 4, if we are doing verse 6, in verse 7 the peace of God will set up as a guard over our hearts and minds.

There are new things and revelations without number.

But what I am experiencing is:

John 16:1-7 ' I have spoken these things to you that you may not be stumbled. Men will expel you from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone that kills you will imagine he has rendered a sacred service to God.

But they will do these things because they have not come to know either the Father or me. Nevertheless, I have spoken these things to you that, when the hour for them arrives, you may remember I told them to you.

These things, however, I did not tell you at first, because I was with you. But now I am going to him that sent me, and yet not one of you asks me, "Where are you going?"

But because I have spoken these things to you grief has filled your hearts. Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth, It is for your benefit I am going away, the helper will by no means come to you; but if I do go my way, I will send him to you.' ..Jesus said.

We can see that Jesus gave his life for us, and he sent us the helper, the holy spirit. And he said if we are truly his disciples we would experience the same trials he did, at the time for them.

Acts 3:19,20 Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the person of YHWH/Jehovah and that he may send forth the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven, indeed must hold within itself...UNTIL THE TIMES OF RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets of old time.

23) Indeed any soul that does not listen to that Prophet will be completely destroyed from among the people.

This includes Jesus prophesy about Elijah. Jesus said;

Matthew 17:11 In reply he said: 'Elijah, indeed, is coming and will restore all things."

Jesus goes on to say that John the Baptist had filled the prophetic role of Elijah for his day, but pointed out that another Elijah is coming. This would complete the prophecy of Malachi 4:5...to send him before the *great and fear inspiring day of YHWH,* to turn the hearts of fathers back toward sons, in order that God may not strike the earth and destroy it.

It is only reasonable that Jesus and Malachi are referring to someone living in the last days, as John the Baptist did not comlpletely fullfill the prophecy to turn the heart of fathers and sons toward one another, so that God does not strike the earth completely.

When Jesus gave the prophecy of Elijah coming, John the Baptist was already dead, and so he was speaking about another man, who would fill the prophetic assignment, as he said; 'Elijah is coming, and WILL restore all things.'

What will Elijah restore?

All the congregations are being judged, see Rev.2 and 3, now, as 1Peter4:17 comes true when it says; "Now is the appointed time for the judgment to begin with the house of God."

As we can see the 7 churches exist divided, some teach various false doctrine, and they have their strengths and weaknesses. They are warned by Jesus to repent or face Lampstand removal.

Matthew 25 shows them also as symbolized by 10 virgins. 5 are ready and 5 are not.

Strangely, although no one knows the day and hour of jugdment, as the 2 prophets of Rev.11. warn and prophecy concerning this judgment for 3 1/2 times, some repent and some do not;.... at the end of this, there is a cry in the night to meet the bridegroom.; Matthew 25:6.

....5 that are not ready do not have enough oil, or light to finish keeping their lampstand bright until Jesus comes. Sadly, they go looking for oil and miss the open door.

These would be those judged by Jesus to be workers of lawlessness, although they profess good deeds; Matthew 7:21-23. We can see from Rev. 2 and 3, that portions of most denominations have faithful ones.

Where does Elijah fit in? After this judgment, Jesus will gather all things to him in heaven and on earth, and will use Elijah to take the lead on the earth, until Armageddon, after which the Kingdom of God will be established on earth, to rule here forever, Daniel 2:44.

So this *booth of David that has fallen down,*..or the *system of worship of the true God*.. will need leadership. Jehovah's name will have been made holy, by eliminating false Christians and from the powerful sign Jesus gives around the earth doing this; Acts 2:19, as he gives blood, fire and smoke mist. See also;

Revelation 6:12,13 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake occurred; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the entire moon became as blood, and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as when a fig tree shaken by a high wind casts its unripe figs.

In verse 14 it says *the heaven departed* as a scroll ...The word heaven has different meanings in the Bible. In this case, it means the religions that people look up to, as the governments are still standing for a while.

So, the remaining Christians will be reorganized under Elijah in the worship of the true God. Then as brought out in Rev. 7:15 these ones serve God day and night in his temple, and no more will there be *sun* beating down on them, as *false religious light,* as Jesus the Lamb guides them to fountains of waters of life. And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, see also Rev. 21:3,4.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
***Please note that even though I worship Jehovah to the best of my ability under these pressing circumstances, that..
the known Organization of Jehovah's Witnesses does not agree with me on these issues, and they want to make that perfectly clear to everyone..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Which is fine with me, as I do not hide what I have learned, and do believe Elijah is coming.

Acts 15:14 Symeon has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of themn a people *for his name*...(YHWH/Jehovah)

15-18 And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written: 'After these things I shall return and build the booth of David that is fallen down, and I shall rebuild it ruins and erect it again, in order that those who remain of the men may earnestly seek Jehovah, together with people of all the nations, people who are called by my name, says Jehovah, who is doing these things, known from old.'

We can see from the next Scripture that Jesus is assigning someone to take the lead;

Zechariah 3:6 And the angel of Jehovah, (Jesus) began to bear witness to Joshua..8b) ..for here I am bringing in my servant SPROUT, (Elijah)...

Zech 6:12 And here is the man whose name is SPROUT. And from his own place he will sprout, and he will BUILD the temple of YHWH/Jehovah.

The end..

Praise Jehovah the God of the Universe!!

Hail Jesus the King of the Universe!!

Welcome his angel wife, the Queen of the Universe!!

..and have honor for the anointed 'Elijah.'
