Did you default on your payment arrangement with them? If so then they can renew the judgement against you.

Judgements expire as a protection for you in case they forget to resolve the judgement after being paid in full. In this case, you have not finished paying them their last penny, so they renew the judgement. They will do this until they receive that last penny and are paid in full.

They renew it because it still has not been satisfied. The judgement stays on for a certain amount of time and if it's not paid, they re-new it so that it remains on your credit rating instead of falling off.

Only if you default on the payment plan. If you have not defaulted and they are harassing you, write to the Judge who agreed to forgo the judgement in liew of the payment plan and show him your proof, he will likely dismiss your judgement and force the creditor to refile. Then you can show lack of credibility on the part of the creditor and likely have the item removed from your credit history. Make sure you have proof you made payments according to the schedule or you are wasting your time.

There is a lobbying group called JONAS that repairs credit reports with the assitance of a federal agency. They have been successful in removing liens, judgments, bankruptcies, charge-offs, etc. In some cases, they can void judgments based on the outcome of the ruling of the federal agency

If you want more info on JONAS, email me at white_hare@hotmail.com

If you have not kept your end of the payment arrangement them they will re-issue a judgment even if you are one day late. When mailing payments keep in mind the time it takes mail to get to them and another week for them to get it posted.
