Pretty much everyone is offended by something in here, do the little things like generalizing and being "Politically Correct" really matter in this board?

Who is offended that I asked a question like this?

I am offended that you even had to ask...it's too bad that you can't have a discourse without wondering who would report you. I wonder if we have stretched so far in the field of political correctness that we have whitewashed who we are. I think it is funny that many of the people who are offended by a statement about those they deem less fortunate, would not in most cases lift a finger to help them. I find that most offensive of all.

Nope. From what I've seen in real life, Christianity as a whole is non-PC, since we don't believe that everyone can go to the Heaven of His/Her/Its choice and that the moral values of the Bible are applicable today. So, go for it.

However, I do say with a word of caution, that insults are neither PC or non-PC, they are just rude and not needed.

I believe that courtesy and respect--which too often gets called "PC", as if truth has to be mean--are very important. You can be respectful of people if not beliefs. That said, we're talking about "hot" issues and beliefs that are *very* important to people, which makes courtesy difficult sometimes. I know I've lashed out myself, and I don't see how a person can go without it.

By the way, Sela...was that Christian love?

Questions need to be asking something, not thinly veiling jabs at the other side. If that is PC then the answer is yes.

Playing can be done on-line at the Yahoo! news message boards.

No I am hardly offended at your question. It is a legitimate question.

I think Jim Darwin's right. Personally, I'm not offended by much of anything. And I couldn't care less about what Yahoo! does with my account.

However, a lot of people have really thin skins, and they're the ones who will continually cry foul. So Yahoo! caters to their whims.

Only the weak minded get offended. PC is for the people that are insecure about themselves.

I'm starting to wonder that myself, Southpaw. I've had 2 questions deleted in 2 days. Only one was "offensive" and only to one person---even then it was a joke---just trying to see whether or not he had a sense of humor. I guess he doesn't, lol.

The Religion and Spirituality category is full of intellectual
bullies. Intellectual bullying is just a way of covering for spiritual cowardess.
