I want to burn cds off my laptop but I don't want to buy a cd burner. Will it work?

No, you need a CD Burner to burn CDs. Check out TigerDirect...they have excellent prices on CD Burners.

You can download the software but when you want to burn it into CD. If you don't want to buy it then just ask one of your friend a external drive cd-burner to connect to your laptop it will work.

No, you can't burn CD without a burner.
Spend some money to buy a DVD writer instead.
They can burn CD, VCD and DVD and are very cheap now!
They will bundle with a lot of softwares to burn CD/VCD/DVD, and you don't have to download from the internet.

Burning cd's is illegal! Even though people do it all the time, it's agianst the law and there is a really bad fine if you're caught.
Anti-piracy is a big thing now.
Don't break the law.
