You are correct that Leviticus 11:11-13 does state that those things that do not have fins or scales in the water is an abomination. However, it was made clear to Peter that we are now free to eat of all things. Jesus expanded and brought us under a new covenent. Part of that is that we are allowed to eat all things.

With that being said, it is interesting that the dietary and cleanliness laws of the old testament are still good for today to prevent illness and to maintain good health. Guess God does know what He was saying.

Who is Hey Shrimp? Why is s/he an abomination? What makes you think s/he is going to Heaven?

Please, a little clarity?

There are no longer any dietary laws in Christianity. Other religions have them, and if you believe you shouldn't eat shrimp, then don't eat it. It makes no difference either way. Doing what you think is wrong is a problem with your ethical nature, not a sin.

It does indeed say that eating anything other than that with scales is abomination.
I wonder of these things. Was there a time that certain germs
existed that could have killed us should we have ate such things.
Our more likely. The need to feed growing population, gave
humans the need to eat things that are not essentially good
for the body.
Pork is full of bad cholesterol. Overweight, clogged arteries,
heart attack. We spend too much time ridiculing to see the
obvious.

All they have to do is repent and stop eating any food they might enjoy, right?

If they're lucky, maybe these reformed shrimp-lovers do have some inborn attraction to vegetarianism, which will be helpful to them and their future spouses.

Exactly!

Eating unclean foods is an "abomination" exactly the same as homosexuality is an "abomination." Gay/lesbian sin is no more a sin than eating forbidden foods -- pork, shrimp, lobster, clams, etc. The Hebrew word in both passages is "abomination!"

Shrimp was unclean, but Peter was told all food was ok.

God never said it was a sin like homosexuality he just said it was bad. Paul said homosexuality said it was a sin and so did Jesus. He said that man and woman were made not man and man.
