No mine didn't , I had a friend that had a kid that way she went as far as using food coloring to get him to eat. She made green mashed potatoes, green macaroni...etc... It was hilarious to say the least ...lol

No not all kids go through this but all kids go through weird stages that most adults dont understand. Parent's often worry about their child not eating a variety of foods, or not eating at all. Many children become picky eaters when they enter toddler hood, and that makes some parents concerned that their child is not eating enough. Parents need not worry because picky eating is a common problem among young children. Parents should be aware that sometimes-young children might have strong sensitive feelings about certain flavors, textures, colors, and consistencies in foods. lot of times children will get bored of eating the same foods one or two foods all the time, and they will eventually eat other foods as long as the parents do not make a big deal out of it. Take pressure off mealtimes by making them more relaxing and pleasant, with the emphasis being on togetherness. By doing this, the child tends to associate eating with good feelings instead of tension and conflict.

Sometimes it's a phase. I would uust keep an eye out on it. My son loved foods that were orange, he would eat other foods but just prefered orange ones.
NOT that I'm saying this is the situation, BUT like I said keep an eye out for it, because sometimes autistics do the same thing refuse to eat any thing of a certain color.
Or maybe he had a bad experience with something brown.

It's just a phase they go thru. If you try to force it they will just resent it more. Just let them go for a while and they will come around. Also, if you eat brown foods and keep commenting on how yummy they are in his company this will help...it will make him want yummy food too.

My daughter would only eait "white" foods for a time. She was two, and she got over it. I think it was just a way for her to assert her independence. I was pregnant at the time, and she seemed to feel like she wasn't the center of attention anymore, and wanted to prove she was a "big girl."

Color doesn't play a factor in the food choices my kids make. My son even ASKS for broccoli sometimes.
