You need to use a very soft bristle tooth brush and brush lightly over the gums for about 3 minutes a day. This will help increase blood circulation to the gums and eventually the bleeding and soreness will go away assuming you do not have an ongoing disease process in the gums which is caused by bacterial infection. For advanced treatment of this disease (periodontal disease) you need to go to a specialized dentist (a periodontist). Most people need to see one of these dentists at least once in their lives especially as they get older.

You should also rinse your mouth with salt water three times a day and also rinse with Listerine two times a day for at least a minute of vigorous swishing.

Use a soft bristled tooth brush and make an appointment with your dentist. Bleeding gums can be a sign of gingivitis. You could be brushing too hard, that's why I recommend a soft bristled tooth brush, but make an appointment just in case.

Sometimes the bleeding of the gums means that they need to be cleaned more often, there may be some calculus build up in them, which is an irritant, so you may want to get a professional cleaning and talk to your dentist.

Go to the dentist and get it checked out. You probably just need the tartar cleaned from under your gums. The dentist or hygienist will talk to your about proper toothbrushing, if you ask.

First of all have you gone to a dentist to see if you have gengervities it's a disease of the gums. If not go. If that is not the problem go see your doctor, it could be a sign of diabeties, or some other virus. Good Luck.

Are you on any anticoagulant medication like Coumadin, Warfarin, or Heparin? This will definitely cause gum bleeding. If not, check for reasons in the article and what to do.

I hope this helps you.

Vitamin C with Bioflavinoids should help alleviate this problem. 500-100 mg daily would be a good dose. Also, take a good multiple vitamin-mineral. CoQ10 may help too. Good luck!
