Last report I heard there was speculation it was merely tools that came out the open door of the storage bay, or possibly ice from waste disposal system. They were going to run the camera on the robot arm to see any possible damage.
(You have to wonder why they were testing the steering engines, which vibrates the ship, when the doors were open though. Did someone mess up?)

I saw this at my work the other day on the news,(of couse). Now the fact that it's distance was too hard to determin, the size of it thereof was hard to determin. There are THOUSANDS of pices of space junk and debree. Now, satelights are a plenty as well! It was not falling, it actually was orbiting as well. Today they are getting out the robot arm and checking the shuttel in more detail to figure out if it came off the shuttel. If it did it could be bad, it possibly could have been a part of the heat shield, making it almost impossible for re-entry. But in the reality of it, it could have just been a peice of an old sattelight or one we still use today.
