I'm 19 and I want to lose 10 pounds. I work 40 hours a week at a fast pace retail job (closing twice a week) and go to school 3 nights a week. Could a reason why I'm not losing weight be because I'm over-working my body?

Does anyone have any tips? I can't seem to lose any weight.

Oh yeah, and how long do you think it would take me to lose it? Keep in mind I'm young and very active.

A young active person should be able to lose 10 lbs in 2 to 3 weeks, although the 'stated' best weight loss is 1 - 2 lbs per week. This tends to be for people with large amounts of weight to lose though, not just a little over 1/2 a stone!

The reason you are not losing weight is because your calorie intake is higher than the amount you are burning! This is the only fact that affects weight loss.

You are either eating too much or the wrong types of food.
Cut down your fat and carb intake and you will lose weight.

At 19, you should be consuming between 1500 - 2000 calories per day.

If you are burning 1900 calories and only eat 1500 you will lose weight, if your eating 3000 you wont!

In my opinion this is the best resource you can find online on how to get rid of cellulite http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=539

You CAN'T improve or enhance your leg, butt, hip, thigh or tummy areas with cellulite creams, lotions, wrap treatments, diet/fat burning pills, butt enhancement supplements or any other money wasting scam that sounds to good to be true. (I'm sure you have already wasted A LOT of money on some of these). Deceptive marketing and pharmaceutical companies take advantage of advertising loopholes that allow them to lie to you on the packaging and in their advertisements. They don't care about you at all. They just want your money, nothing else.

You have several hundred muscles in your leg, butt, hip, thigh and lower stomach area. The major problem is, not exercising these muscles correctly will make your trouble spots worse and more pronounced, while risking serious injury. However, the right exercises that use these muscles in harmony with each other can bring definite results without spending unrealistic amounts of time on ineffective exercises and risking long term set-backs. You don't need access to a gym because this type of approach doesn't require weights and machines.

A year ago I was an out of shape with my lower body was the worst, carrying an extra fat on my stomach. My thighs and butt are quite big. After joining a program which i accidentally found while surfing the web for my consultancy project, i have made the dramatic changes and i feel young, healthy and sexy again. Even my legs are much more slimmer then before. The point is, there's a much FASTER, BETTER and CHEAPER way to get fit and melt the body butter once and for all without gyms, weights or fancy shmancy expensive exercise equipment.

Losing weight is not something that happens overnight just like gaining weight is not an overnight occurrence.

Here are a few free tips on losing weight that really work. Starting with your behavior, you need to start thinking thin and realizing that weight loss begins in your mind. Keep a positive attitude, set realistic weight loss goals, keep a food journal and begin an exercise routine you can live with.
To lose weight you have to cut your calorie intake by 500 calories a day. A little secret weight loss tip is you don't have to cut them all from your food. If you eat 250 calories less food you can burn the other 250 calories by walking for 30 to 45 minutes a day. In a week, you will have lost about 1 pound. Over time, these small changes will add up to a healthier, happier and lighter you.

Hope u like it

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Low level activity that doesn't raise your blood pressure won't help you loose much weight. Yes, you may be burning calories dashing around the active retail job, but it's not remotely the same as serious exercise.

So I'd encourage you to look at what you eat and make sure you're making healthy choices. That doesn't mean starve yourself. That means skip the french fries.

And then I'd suggest you look at how much time you spend doing things that raise your heart rate over 140.

Yes:

I can give you two really good ideas that should not be difficult to work into your busy schedule.

First: reverse the order of your meals.
Eat Breakfast at night.(Cereal for supper)
Eat Supper in the morning.

Second: Walk/Jog/Run 2 miles
each and every morning after you eat.
Do this exercise regardless of the
weather and/or rain.

You should see the benefits in
less than three weeks.

sometimes muscle weighs more than fat. Do you drive? is it possible to ride a bike or walk to work?? stress could be a leading factor to you having fat on your body. I suggest picking up a yoga or pilates class (or do it on your own) and cut down on eating carbs for a week and replace that with veggies and fruit. have healthy stir frys for dinner and don't drink pop or energy drinks (they are loaded with unhealthy sugars) As for a time line, I'd say dont set one. 2 years ago I weighed 225 pounds and now I'm down to 140 pounds. If you take care of yourself more, eat tons of veggies and fruit, drink lots and lots of water and stop worrying about the fat. you'll be fine.

try going on a low carb diet, with all the moving you do you could build muscles if you wanted to, and lose more than 10 pounds, its hard to do, but worth it.
