I have 4 cats and a dog. Two of my cats have several nicknames because of their personalities. Fancy came on a foggy Dec. nite out of nowhere and she is a prima donna type. We call her Kitty girl and Miss Tail cause she walks with it straight up but the last inch sways like a person holding their pinky out having tea. She uses it to knock things off the night stand or coffee table if you're not paying her attention when she wants it..
Then there is Casey. She appeared on a suuny day in July and is so small still after 2 years we call her mostly Tiny Little or Little One. I love them all so much.

Our Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) is legally named Buddy Spike (I am a huge Buffy fan!) but we call him Bud. Bud-Boy, Bud-nick, Bud to the Bone, and numerous others. We got him shortly after my husband retired and Bud LOVES his "Dad" and tolerates me. We had Yorkies for 12 and 14 years (Annie and Alex aka as Dolly and Bud) and we thought they were smart. Bud makes them look dumber than a box of rocks! My husband brushes that thick coat daily and brushes his teeth daily. They are sparkling white! He is also extremely gentle with everyone including our granddaughters, 11, 4, and 1. More info than you asked for but we are proud Bud owners!

My cat's just like a child. When she's bad, I use her full name... Willow Marie!!! but when she's good I call her Fuzzy Face. She'll answer to her name, but ignore me if I just call "hey!" Cats are pretty smart animals.

I call my Boxer 'Box-head', 'Flop-Chops' (when he shakes his head, his floppy lips make a funny sound), 'Goober', 'The Beast', 'Brat Face', etc. His official call name is "Chip" and his registered name is "Champion Box O' Joy's Let's Roll". That's a LOT of names!
