Some women don't get them. My Mum didn't get any. If you have good skin and use creams like Palmers or Olive Oil, you can prevent them from appearing.

Stretch marks are not necessarily hereditary. My mother doesn't have a mark on her and she had two kids, I'm on number 3 and got horrible stretch marks when I was pregnant with my first son. It all has to do with the elasticity of your skin, how you're carrying your baby, and how big that baby is.
I started to get stretch marks right around the 32-34 week because Mike was growing to be a huge baby and he was all out in front. He weighed 9lbs 13oz but was BIG. He's still a big kid. My second one, I didn't get any new stretch marks and none of them re-stretched either. I think it's because Jake was so much smaller, he weighed 7lbs 4oz, and was tall and skinny. At 8 he's STILL tall and skinny.
So hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones to not get them. Or you still might when your baby starts going through it's rapid growth stage. Good luck!! =)

Not everyone gets them! Maybe you are one of the lucky ones!
Everyone is different because some people don't even show until they are 5 months or later. Some get big quite early and therefore are prone to marks earlier.

i got stretch marks in the last four weeks of my full term pregnancy only around my belly button though and i used all kind of products from expensive to cheap, they do help but they wont stop them from appearing if you suddenly expand. keep on apply even after the baby is born to help them to fade

not all people get stretch marks depends on your skin, don't give up the creams because you will regret it after!when you get stretch marks it means lack of zinc!so your one lucky person to not have stretch marks because mine look like Freddy Kruger.

Stretch marks are hereditary if your grandma had them the chances are you will too. If not there are plenty of envious women that will read this, including me. There is no lotion or potion to prevent them.
You may not get them at all OR you may get them at the last minute of pregnancy.
Good luck.

They can certainly happen anytime during your pregnancy. I didn't have one strectch mark on my stomach until 2 weeks before delievery. Just keep what your are doing, you may be one of the lucky ones. I sure hope so! :) Take care and good luck!

They can appear any time during a pregnancy. You're not off the hook until much later in your pregnancy when your stomach stretches even further.
Good luck!!
