i want to date an 18 yr old n i'm 15 n everyone says it's a bad idea bcuz they think we will have se n then he'll go to jail...but....i've made out w/guys b4 and we set our limits and didn't exceed them so y dose everyone say it's hopless that it's not possible to stay away from sex?

Girl, you are 15. You are unable to see how naive you are( no offense intended). This 18 year old guy is not mature, and neither are you. Believe me, if it goes on long enough, it WILL lead to sex. He will be able to talk u into it. Those other guys were probably younger than this guy, and thus, didnt have the balls to take it further. Older guys are better at being smooth than a young one. And, yes, he probably would go to jail if the right people found out. You dont need to date a guy who would go to jail for having sex with you. His priorities arent strait. Do you really think he would want to wait until he is 21! to have sex with you? That is along time for a guy to wait for a 15 year old girl

Relationships between teens are discovery experiences. Age differences between teens intensifies the experience for better or worse.
An 18 year old is an adult. His interest in a 15 year old is suspicious since the age difference translates into about 12 years of age difference in an adult.
He is not looking for a wife. Neither is he looking for a lifetime committment from a 15 year old. High on his list could possibly be sex.
A 15 year old girl may have in mind a casual relationship that does not involve sex, but there is a good chance that a man who is 12 relationship years her senior has intentions or inclinations that are more sexual than anything.
To many 18 year old males, a pretty naive 15 year old is easy meat.

know what, i've read what other people have to say to this and i agree..you can't expect to have a PLATONIC relationship with an 18 year old guy. His a GUY, and he is 18 he will expect that there 'll be sex in the relationship, he might not voice it out but it's at the back of his head.point is hes an ADULT, you're not..expectations girl, can't argue with that.name a couple whose been platonic for years....not very likely..

18 year old guys are in the sexual prime. In my experience, a guy at 18 years old would expect nothing less than sex.
You might have set your boundaries, but if you are in a relationship - you are BOUND to have the sexual feelings for each other. Regardless.

Does!! Not dose! Dose, a unit of measurement used when prescribing medicine. If you are 15 and can't spell four letter words, it's pretty likely that you'll end up getting knocked-up. So, perhaps, skip the 18yo and study your English.

because he's 18 and your not. If you are not giving it up then he will get it from somebody else. Date someone your own age and you can still put the limitations on your sex life too.

Those kind of people don't know what a date really is and jump into relationships to fast just so they can have sex. They have sex and their justification is they are in a relationship. Very sad if you think about it.

because they all do lead to sex you might be able to hold out say 2 years but it will happen i'm not saying dont date him because of that reason i'm just saying sex plays a major part in an adult relationship

I guess these days it expected. But not for me. Dating is to learn about the person. Sex is for marriage.
