I would not use lemon juice, it has alot of acid in it which is going to dry out your hair. Plus I don't think the tanning salon would greatly appreciate you coming into to use their beds w/ sticky lemon juice on your head. (o;
If you already have blonde hair and you want it lighter go to Sallys Beauty Supply and buy a blonde hair color lighter than what you have and a 10 vol. developer (which is a light enough strength that it won't dry your hair) It will look better & definetely work better.
Good Luck,

Yes I am experienced in almost all homemade beauty creations. I am currenly a regular at tanner, I have been loving it for several years. I think to get a fake & bake is just as real as the beach, except you don't have to hassel with the sand, the people, the tan lines from your suit & the minutes vs hours saved for tanning is apprectated!
Lemon juice or "Sun In" wll lighten your hair, but be careful of yur natural color, sometimes your hair will redden rather than lighten!
Good luck & have fun!

If you're talking about a tanning both or bed, you get just as much exposure to damaging rays as you would in the sun. If you're talking about the "spray" tan-thing, I think it's a good idea. Lemon juice works; you can also buy a spray that does the same thing.

Instead of lemon juice try Garnier hair lightning spray.
It works in the same way, you spray it on and expose it to heat, but it is more gentle than lemon juice.
