Prayer is very strong! My family's van broke down and we couldn't afford to get it fixed or get a new one so we were praying then a friend gave us two-thousand dollars-out of the blue- and another friend had just decided to sell their van a few weeks before ours broke down! It's a really long story and this is the really abreviated version, but God always answers prayer, just not always in such drastic ways, but it takes faith! Just remember that God might also answer your prayer with a "No" or a "Wait" so be patient and trust God. I hope that helped. :D

There's a Scripture that says, "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much", but that doesn't mean that God only hears the prayers of the righteous! If that was the case, the sinners of the world would have no conviction in Him, nor communion with Him and be lost! Prayer is something that when added to faith, becomes a powerful force for one's abiding Christian walk and their healing, and etc. I was severely scalded by boiling water from a coffee pot i knock over when i was a boy and there's not a doubt in my mind that had it not been for the prayers of faith going out on my behalf along with God's guiding hand over the physicians assigned to my care, I wouldn't be here today! Not only was I completely healed, I bear no scars from that accident! Prayer is a wonderful thing! Use it and let it become a part of your conscience, not because you want to, but because you feel a NEED to! It will enrich and bless your daily walk with God.

Depends on whether you 'really believe' in God. I'm not a regular prayer, myself, but I know for certain that it has the power to change bad to good, and good to better. Prayers have sometimes saved people from dire situations where death was just around the corner. I personally lived through wars, and with the prayers that I know many often prayed, including myself, not one person I know even got hurt.
We don't seem to comprehend the power behind the act of talking to God; our minds are not equipped to trust what we do not see without question; and here lies the power of faith. It's what God asks of us over and over and over again: faith, nothing more, and once faith exists, it generates and propells all good traits that are inbred in us humans, and the first of all those is 'love', and I mean 'pure, unphysical love'; the sacrificial kind of love, for our fellow man, and after love, comes sacrifice and therefore good works, with which we realize our goal where our aim towards the creator is concerned.
Yes, sis, prayer is the first act of faith - in God, and its power is incomprehensible, cause we know not how our prayer credit works in the other world, but you can be damn sure, it works miracles, and necessarily only for ourselves, but just as much, for others.
Never lose trust in the power of prayer; for prayer is our most powerful asset here on earth, and you can be sure that losing that, is no less than losing oneself; otherwise, why did Jesus come to us and died for us in the first place? Godspeed.

Prayer is a form of meditating or concentrating. The power of intention (prayer, meditation, etc) can influence an outcome. Doctors have said patients who are more positive about a recovery have a faster and less painful time. The negation is also true. So, pray away, but be prepared to work for what you want as well.

When a born again believer prays, they communicate with the very power that created the universe and life itself. Like plugging a lamp into an electrical outlet, prayer "plugs" you into God.

In prayer, God gives you His undivided attention, like a child asking a parent for a glass of water. Prayer causes the host of Satan to cower and shudder in fear.

God is on The Throne and prayer changes things. I have seen prayer free a demon posessed witch. I have seen prayer forgive a wretch his sins and bring him close to God.

It is only as strong as our faith. There are plenty of examples throughout the world of prayers being answered. Surf the site I listed below. There are stories of answered prayers. God hears prayers of those who seek him daily and choose to live for him. He is not a puppet that we can call upon whenever we want something.

We prayed over a friend who was born completely color blind (as in black and white only) and as we prayed he began to see color. I mean, literally as we were praying for him. His doctors have no idea what happened and it has been labeled a miracle. I think that really showed me the power of prayer on a larger level, but I think all prayers can be just as powerful.

In my church we prayed for the well being of my unborn twin. we were told that there was a high chance that one will die and the other would be a vegetable. Well through our faith and the prayers of our church God gave us both our twins. They are both getting bigger and stronger everyday.
I seriously believe that if it wasn't for the prayers my twins would of died.
So now I get to give my Lord all the praise and all the glory for what he has done for us.

Have FAITH trust God. God Bless you
