Further to an answer I just posted to someone, I was wondering what is the genuinely wierdest thing anyone's been arrested for?

'Drunken Animal Theft' or 'Nudity infront of a Police Station' both sound funny - but has anyone ever done them or funnier??

One of my husband's buddies encountered a drunk guy on foot. He was being cooperative so they let him go. He then wanted to know where he could get some coffee. They had him walk 3 blocks to the entrance to of a nearby building and ask the nice guy at the desk for some coffee. They told him the guy at the desk would get him some free coffee and a donut. Little did they know he would really walk himself to jail.
The desk Sgt contacted the officers from the description the man gave to him and asked if they had sent him there. After the officer's laughter stopped, the officers admitted to sending him but didn't believe he would really go there. The desk Sgt reply was thanks for making me take an arrest.
The lesson to this is don't get so drunk you don't know where you are walking to.

Weirdest thing? I was arrested for having an 8 year old arrested (I had her arrested for being so cute).
Of course, we were at a school fair... and the makeshift "jail" had shade on a boiling hot day.... and a place to sit... I could have paid 50 cents to get out of "jail," but the shade, the chair, and my cold soda made it a nice break. :-)

High speed chases are cooler than that, at least then you can show off your driving skills and drive a sweet car, if you jack one. Plus people can see you live, helicopters will follow. That is definately the best way.
