As the Nature is indifferent to life , I'm not convinced that GOD will reward your good deeds.

Religon is spoonfed and we could not say no to our parents beliefs weather its right or wrong. And we have to protect the lies in our religion books and show the others a fairytale story which is not applicable to the modern world.

dont give me crap like " bibal this page that page, mosas , allah , quran this verse . " not through ur traditional religous beliefs here. I want a good answer. To give a good answer you have to remove your religous colored glasses which you are wearing.

There is really something quite profound in Chicky's answer:

. "It frightens humans that we might be so very insignificant that nobody cares whether we live or die." --and this statement I think is part of the answer. As an inbuilt survival mechanism we all have embedded within us a healthy measure of selfishness that keeps us alive physically and emotionally. In this sense, religion is seen by some as a mechanism arising from the brain which generates some form of self-preservation and a communal survival mechanism that arises in the creation of a system of ethics, morals, beliefs, values, taboos, etc.

So in this regard, I'm not sure that Nature is really indifferent to life. Newer models of evolution look at survival not only as survival of the fittest, which is true in some cases, but also at the somewhat paradoxical mechanism of survival --parasitism and symbiosis.

That is, evolution through dependency is a more complex understanding of how life (nature) exists as a complex network of interdependent species that cannot exist without one another. So in this sense, Nature does have an interest in preserving life because each component plays a role in the survival of the whole.

So, I think religion is a natural way to help human beings survive in a world that is frightening and difficult --yet humans have failed to see beliefs as being healthy and capable of diversity --resulting in divisive systems of intolerance and absolutism.

Sorry-- I am skimming superficially over many things in the interest of not writing a book on the topic.

Mankind has been faced with two preoccupations since the dawn of civilization: Morality and Mortality. Because of our evolved brains this is a distinctly human dilemma. A dog doesn't wake up in the morning thinking about what happens when it dies and it doesn't feel bad when it bites you.

This has lead man to believe he is of a higher caliber on natures scope. Therefore God is not only interested in mankind but the believewhatever, that of course is created in his image, as well. This is a product of the human ego.

Given the current state of the world, if there is a God, he lost interest in us a long time ago.

well it might be just a form of belief most of us instilled in ourselves by our parents or our upbringing...but in some way we humans are all portrayed to be weak helpless beings, and so we look to this direction for guidance and solace. you cannot live a life without having faith in something. it's something we rely on. (errmm...when i say we, i mean the religious)
but i'm not very religious myself...i'm pretty young and i can't really tell if i'm an atheist either...but um yea what i've said above is what i've noticed...majority of the people in the world prefer to follow the divine...rational thinking exists but you cannot go around convincing yourself that you're the most superior and that there's not a single higher power anywhere...

but seriously...when you look around how can you possibly think the whole of the Universe, Mother Earth blah blah started by itself??? there's obviously some much higher power behind it ... it's what we call God...

hmm maybe from there onwards everything about God just got blown out of proportion....sorry...no conclusive answer...just ideas...

You want a real anser then here it is.
My mother is a black belt Atheist. I was raised to believe that Jesus was like the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause. Church was a "cute" thing that kids and ignorant "White trash" did.
I will cut to the chase here. After 30 miserable years of existance I was looking for actual truth. There had to be an absolute truth. One Christmas vacation I was outside smoking a cigarette and was thinking that it would be an awesome Christmas gift to finnally find absolute truth. Right then I heard three words in my head that were not mine. Simply "Merry Christmas Lance" It was Jesus. I knew who it was and I knew all the layers of those three words in an instant.
Thats why I think GOD is personally interested in me and you and everybody.
Take that however you want to. Its Absolute Truth.
GOD bless you

Sounds like you have God confused with your parents. Lots of people do that. Sorry, sounds like your parents were a bit over barring when it came to religion. Maybe they didn't understand it themselves. God is our Father in Heaven. He loves us because we are his children. Maybe your earthly father didn't take a personal interest in you and you base your ideas about God on your relationship with him. Read "Jesus the Christ" it was written by a guy named Talmage. It will give you a better idea of who Jesus the person was. He was a person and not a fairytale.

God made Adam and Eve and breath the breathe of life in them
so God part of God is inside of us all
Abraham did not have the bible but he believe that there was a higher power ,
You don't need a bible to feel something great out there
All religion have some kind of truth in them that my opinion

Because we are vain! We are egocentric and want to believe that our day to day life concerns god. It frightens humans that we might be so very insignificant that nobody cares whether we live or die.

My personal view is that if an almighty being has nothing better to do than watch us brush our teeth and clip our toenails, then being god isn't all it's cracked up to be!

It's not so much what I've read in the scriptures, but the personal relationship I have developed with Heavenly Father. That has come through prayer, meditation, and special personal experiences. I'm sorry if you don't have that, but I wouldn't give it up for the world.

best wishes

Interesting that I am considered to be wearing "religious-colored glasses" and you are considered to be wearing none with 20/20. If my God is real, that would quite turn the tables on that statement.

God is not interested to got anthing from us and he's not waiting for our praying to him, he's a donor not a recipient.he's bigger than any of all our intellect ,he cries when we do stupidity and he's happy for us when we're.he's in our soul and hearts and we are in his soul and heart.if we're created by god,so why he should create a bad people?I don't think so,he create only loved people .Scientist proved that human use7% of his brain ability,so why we're expecting a paradise ,peace and love between each others?never going to happen no matter witch religion you are.there no bad religion, there bad systems, culture with bad habits so why we see bad people and bad influence.
in our time we don't choose our religion,we born with our religion,so why there a lot of hatred in the world.
