It isn't. Xians just cant accept the fact that their book is a bunch of myths. Their apologetics are a joke, anyone with more than a 3rd grade education can utterly destroy their barrage of logical fallacies.
I have taken many courses in the origin of the bible, apologetics, bible study etc... I taught Sunday school for 2 years, I was a youth minister, I know the bible. Even with all that knowledge the bible is still a book of myths, get over it xians. Leave your ancient fables behind and accept reality. Even if the bible were translated with 100% accuracy it would not matter, it is still an accurate translation of a fable.

We first must address the issue that when God inspired the bible it was to a people who did not speak the language that we speak now. While God could have given the people at that time his message in English it would not have helped his people very much. The issue of revising comes from the fact that we have had to translate the bible from language to language all the while trying to keep the original meaning. From this effort we get revisions, or efforts to correct new translations to more closely resemble previous writings. We are constantly learning more about ancient language that allows us more insight into proper translation. The Rosetta stone is a good example of how we are learning and had to readjust things we incorrectly translated prior to the discovery of such stone.
All this is a logical progression of historical translation; however the bible introduces some very difficult factors into the discussion.
We have been able to translate historical stories from Babylon and Egypt without having to introduce errors.
Funny thing is that historically the books of the bible were not chosen by God and placed together. The books have been chosen by man. Man has deemed each book of the bible as canon or not canon. That is why the Dead Sea scrolls have books that we don't have. That is also why books like the book of Enoch are up in the air. At one time it was considered part of the bible but it was later deemed non-canonical.
Example: St. Jerome. Jerome produced the standard Latin translation of the Bible, the Vulgate. To do this he learned Hebrew, however he decided to reject the deuterocanonical books in his translation. His opinion was that the books should only total 22 just like the number of Hebrew letters.
So in this case God has been trumpet. The New Testament went thru the very same treatment, and worst. A version of the bible is still in use today in the Nile area that did not receive the "updated list" as put together from any of the meetings, Council of Rome (AD 382), Hippo (AD 393), Carthage (AD 397 and 419) or Council of Nicea II (AD 797).
One last note on books in the bible the book of Wisdom is one of the deuterocanonical books that have the interesting distinction of being the only book to ever be found on ancient lists of both the Old and New Testaments. In fact, the earliest canon of the New Testament, the Muratorian canon, contains the book of Wisdom.

MAN has revised the Word, not God! Man is ever trying to justify himself in the Word by chainging the text in the name of "more accurate lingual understanding" or a more" enlightened translational viewpoint" and etc. It may not be 1611 anymore, but I'm intelligent enough to read the Bible and know what certain things mean! The rest is prophecy INTENDED to make us "search the Scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life"! These "modern" translations, while a positive influence to those who are truly seeking a relationship and walk with God, are an insult to those who see the flaws made in the translator's omissions, singlemindedness of thought and etc. and insult my limited intelligence! I would rather struggle with the truth than swallow a lie! The Scripture says< "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the Word of God shall stand FOREVER"! It needs no revision, just a VISION of INTERPRETATION!

People honestly believe that God watches over those writing and translating the Bible to ensure the true meaning is not lost. In truth, the Bible, aside from being full of hypocrises, was written, revised, and translated by men, unguided by God. People fail to look at the simple truths that religions teach: do unto others as you would have them do unto you, be the best person you can be, and love each other. These truths get bogged down by qualifications and revisions and plain old crap.

Not only has it been revised and changed so many times, it also has errors. If I remember correctly, I believe that the Book of Daniel mentions the Persian conquest of Babylon. The Bible states that the Persian king at the time of the conquest was Darius, but it was actually Cyrus. I can't help but think that if the Bible was really the authorized word of God it wouldn't have errors.

brother i too had the same doubt....
1-How can the word of GOD need to be revised and verses fabricated
2-Is it authentic if they keep changing the verses here and there
3-How can we believe the bible when it contradicts itself.
4-When it contradicts itself, wat is the guarantee that it is a revelation of GOD
there are a lot more...
but wat i can conclude from these questions is that---the bible is only partly correct if u compare with the original manuscripts...it no longer is authentic and doesnt hold good for being called divine revelation or word of GOD
anyways hope this helps
Peace 2 all believers

Hi!
I often hear people saying that, but where was it altered?...
By God's grace I am an avid Bible reader...
Why should you believe the bible?
1. All OLD testament books in the bible, Jesus Christ quoted from them in the new testament.
2. The new testament has been proven to be God's word because it was written by those who had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. They seem to say the same things without contradiction.
3. The epistles of Paul are also trusted because Paul never walked with Jesus Christ but spoke things that no one could have taught him since he was a Christian hater before his conversion! He spoke of communion without anyone telling him about it.Miracles literally followed him.If something is of God, God Himself will confirm it.
4.When we pray against demons in people, they seem to react to the words written in the bible.I guess they know themselves that these are God's words even if they came through human beings.
2Ti 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
5. The promises in the bible seem to be fulfulled exactly as they are written.Millions of Christians can testify this.
Ultimately, God wants you to have a relationship with Him than to know all the scriptures in the bible and never relating with Him...Understand, the words in the bible can never be understood by mental abilities only but by the Holy Spirit. The words will look contrary to one another if you are not born-again...
by the way, it was not a book for UNBELIEVERS but for BELIEVERS IN CHRIST...
Please contact me if you have more questions...

I don't say it's not. But any scripture (from any tradition) gets processed by a human mind.
The point: Nobody knows everything. So it's not all about the statue or the immage or the book. It's what the individual holds sacred.

The Scripture says, "God Word is forever settled in the heavens"
You need to take a course in the origins of Bible....If you go back to the original manuscrits you will see they have been faithfully tanslated and the original meaning is still intact..
God watches over His Word to perform it...and it is one of the wonderful miracles of God that the Scriptures have been preserved faithfully to all generations.
