Agree 100%, but it's a pointless question - people do not realise they are wasting their time; their credophillia blocks out logic or critical thinking. They BELIEVE, you see, they don't need to actually know!

Pain, suffering, wars etc have occured between paties of opposing religions, between parties of the same religion and between secular parties.

This shows that religion is not the problem, it's mankind. Religion is just a tool used to manipulate situations, becuase religious people hold their faith close to their heart.

If the concept of religion were to cease existing, i'm pretty sure we'd still have the problem in the world that we do now. But different tools/ideologies would be used... skin colour, language, culture.

Afterall what is the difference between a Jew, Muslim and Christian except the fact they have slightly different ideas of God?

Greed and ignorance seem to be the main cause of pain and suffering. Greed for land, resources, money etc.

Hi,
I am a bit of a Christian by "trade", ant totally agree.
More troubles & wars have been created by any source than religeous beliefs.
I am fully against all of these notions.
From the "Holy Wars" to current conflicts of a beleif seem to avoid the general world-wide in many religeons of a general piece, harmony, love & understanding of eich other.
I often fail to comprehend.
I have many friends of many persuasions, having lived in the Mid-East and elsewhere, and in a "club" which I belong to, we more than welcome any faith.
I am not strongly a Great Christian, but I go bell ringing at the local Church.
And why not ?
I have had the priveledge of calling people to prayer in foreign climes, to some amusement.
Heck. You are right in mentioning suffering.
Why not just shake a hand or three.

(Me being a tad philisophical, maybe)

All the best,
Bob
(Typed a tad quick, so forgive mistakes)

There is no need to waste your time on false religion.

There is every reason in the world to develop a relationship with Jesus.

Why spend time doing this? Because things aren't often what they seem to be to you. This will be revealed to you if you ask God for clarity.

Do the math on killings by Stalin and Mao. Then compare it to all the religious wars in history combined. Report back.

Don't blame the religions, blame the people who claim to represent them

Religions don't kill people. People kill people.

If we got rid of all religion, we'd still have violence and killing.

If we got rid of people and left the churches and temples standing, there'd be peace.
