Many years ago, I had an embarrassing experience in which I really needed to pee. Just as I was about to go to the bathroom, the phone rang. No one else was around to answer it, and since I didn't have caller ID, I didn't know if the call was important. Unfortunately, my bladder was about to give way, so out of desperation, I decided to take the phone to the bathroom. I thought to myself that maybe the person on the other end wouldn't hear the tinkle. Boy was I wrong! The caller turned out to be a telemarketer, and I could tell that she knew that I was in the bathroom by the awkward tone in her voice. However, if there is an upside to this, she was quick to cut the call short. It was still embarrassing, though.

I think that people who do this have fallen WAY too far victim to the information age, and have WAY too much going on with their lives, so that they can't take 30 seconds out of their way-too-busy schedules to meet their basic human needs! Just slow down, relax, and let the machine get it, already!! Whoever it is can wait 2 minutes for you to call back, if it's an important call. Sheesh.
P.S. -- My girlfriend does this all the time. I'm not really grossed out by it or anything, I just think it's really funny that people feel the need to do this. If you can't take time out of your schedule to pee, what can you take time out for?

If your talking to a family member it's funny. But if it's a serious call then turn the bath room water on while your going and they will think you getting a class of water or washing dishes. If it's a telemarketer then tell them your in the middle of peeing and they should know better then to call at this most pressing time. Then hang up on them. Or you could wait and get their response. I like to mess with them when they call me. Anyway different strokes for different folks. If I were you I'd chalk it up to a good laugh.

I do this all the time. Next time you are peeing on the phone, turn the sink on full blast to drown out the tinkle. You can always tell people on the other end that you are washing your hands or doing dishes, lol!

If your just going pee i dont see why not but some people do get a lil uneasy because you do..thats why I warn people wen i have to go i tell them either 1 im gonna put the phone dow for a min to two i can just keep talking..I lived out of state from my dad when i was younger and used to do it to him all the time

haha that's funny
it happens sometimes, i'll be on the phone with someone and i won't even know they've been in the bathroom until they flush the toilet. then i'm like "um.. are you in the toilet?" it's quite funny. i think it's unhygenic on the pee-ers behalf. it might be gross to hear it on the other end, but if you don't then there's nothing really wrong with it.
you can sometimes tell by the echo of their voice in the bathroom.

I went to the bathroom once with the cordless with my mom on the phone. It just didn't register to me that maybe she could hear more than only my voice. She was in the middle of talking all of a sudden she stopped and asked, "Are you going to the bathroom?"
Talk about embarassing.

I've had to do it before too. At least it was a telemarketer, and you could give her a good excuse to get off the phone faster. LOL

Yeah, I definitely don't use the bathroom while on the phone...you never know how clear the connection is, and how much they might hear! I put them on hold or let the machine pick up.

Yeah I do go to the bathroom with the phone, but just with my close family members. They do it also.
No biggie for us any way.
If it is some one other than a close family member I say let me call you right back.
