Don't you just hate it when you answer a question, you might have been the 6th or 7th but you still provide new information, and the person up the top edits their answer using your information to make their answer look better? Why can't Yahoo Answers highlight the fact that these people have edited their answers?
Sorry, having a whinge as they say here in Australia!

In that event you can also edit your answer to state what happened. This happened to me on a question, and the questioner happened to see it as well, so I still got "Best Answer."

I do agree it is rude. I rarely edit an answer unless I spot a typo or I have done a calculation wrong.

FYI if the "first person" only puts a * or something similar to hold the spot while they look up the answer, Yahoo calls that "squatting." It can be reported under "Other."

I never realised that. That's pathetic, people really need to grow up if they're "cheating" on Yahoo! Answers. It's just a fun entertaining forum, not a final exam where the best possible answer is looked for.

It's not that! SOmetimes people forget things and go back and add what they know. Hey, it's cold here in Ohio today, how's Australia today! You Austrailians are cool. Have a nice day.

Well, when I do it I suggest that, that person get best answer because they were first and I concur with their answer. Also I admit that it is an addendum or I realized a better answer after I submitted. Please forgive me for that.

Once it happened to my question. But mostly I pick questions only I might know about. That's it, be exclusive.

I've only had that happen to me once, so I edited my answer says "Hey, thanks for copying my answer. Next time think for yourself _____"
