Ok I was going to say skunk because the smell sticks with you forever - but then I remembered my husband, who actually enjoys picking up fresh roadkill deer, and taking it to the butcher. (It's legal here).
So I'm going to say deer, because until you have had to watch someone gut a fresh roadkill deer, and then had to sit there and smell the whole - thing....you have absolutly no idea just how bad it really can be.
And that is also my first real date with my husband story lol.
Yeah..I still married the man lol, and no I don't eat the deer.

In the US, There are three I can think of; Moose, it can wreck a semi, and it's illegal to hit one. And an Elk, can also wreck a semi. The other, last but not least, a Skunk. It can leave a lasting Impression on you, long after you leave it for road kill, lol!!!

Hello,

so far I know deers are the most trickiest animals to evade collision with. They are seasonally appear (generally middle of september, the time of reproduction) when the road crosses their routes, so they suddenly start walking across the road, all day, for a period.
They generally move in packs, the female specimen sorrounded by the 'seekers' (males), but blindly following the female. They don't have too much sense of fear, so don't expect them to step back! During the breeding season, their odor glands produces a odor that makes the male deer more attractive to the females but also makes their flesh stink, so don't think of hitting them as alternative way to hunt one down. Not mentioning the damages in your car.

Regards

Probably a pig, because they are "low" enough that they will roll under the car. They are "dense" enough that they don't "compress" very much. Therefore it is like driving over an "oil drum", - when the wheels leave the ground, you don't have any control! This can result in not just body damage, - but you can loose control, and crash the car as well!

hitting any animal is horrible, i hit a deer once and cried for 3 days because i killed bambi!!! small animals just splatter, YUCK and really big ones like moose and bear can take you out too. i drive a semi, and guarantee a moose can stop an 18 wheeler.

Well, if you're driving in the savannah, its best to avoid game animals such as gazelles, dears, etc. Because if you hit it, hyenas, vultures and other such animals will be following you.
