Hi
Don't mind the negative talk from some people who answered you...ignore them!
The word pastor comes from a Greek word "poimen" which simply means "SHERPHERD"...
God has appointed a pastor to "sherpherd" you spiritually and physically...Look at this verse where Paul and the apostles were organising food for widows:
Acts 6:3 "Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.(The duty is mentioned in verse 1 and 2)
Pastors may not be able to take care of all the needs of the members but they are suppose to organise it like Paul and the disciples did in the verse above.
Now for those in need, they are suppose to prove to be faithful in spiritual things because the bible tells that we must help everyone but, "especially those who are of the household of faith"Galatian 6:10.If a member does not want to serve Christ but wants handouts from the pastor, it would be unfair for those who are faithful needy ones serving in church for the pastor to take his money to him before attending to those faithful needy ones.So we need wisdom here!
Who to approach during financial need?
Well, the first one is God whom you believe in and trust...He said "silver is mine and gold is mine"
Secondly, the pastor.

I called the teaching elder in my church Pastor. It is a title of respect. An one in church leadership can be approached for help in time of financial need. Anyone in the church can help with anything they feel they want to do for anyone else. You don't have to be in leadership to help others. Normally the leadership knows of major problem among the membership and needs are addresses as needed and as the ability of the church to help is present. (I have been a member of some VERY small churches that had no resources to give much help... Jim

Yes, it is okay to call the leasder of a Church "Pastor." It was the old Greek word for a shepheard, and his "flock" is the congregation.
As to who helps those in need, that depends on the particular church. Usually your best bet is to approach the pastor and he'll lead you to the correct person if he isn't it.

Yes, but it depends on which church you go to, some denomantions call them Father, Bishop, Brother, etc.
All Christians are to help in time of need, in any way they can.
You should approach your pastor if you need help, he may offer to get you a job or he may know someone who needs some help around the house that you can get paid to do.

Most preachers are called "pastor".
You need to talk with a Elder of the church. Either the Elders handle it, or appoint a committee.
Good Luck. God Bless You.

Pastor is usually customary. or Pastor followed by their first or last name. Who to approach depends. Your best bet is to go to the pastor. He could direct you. There may be a ministry to help those with that kind of problem or he could refer you to where to go.

Yes it is moral and Biblical to call a Pastor a PAstor..It is much like my children calling me by my title instead of my given name..it is a sign of respect...Pastor means Shepard..
In our Church..We have a benevolence fund, and one of the elders is in charge of that..We just paid a couples rent..another was given a car...and we feed many people from our food pantry

Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Yes the scriptures say God will provide pastors... the pastor is servant of the church.
However also be aware that God has warning for pastors who do not follow his word.
Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
