Hey, you...

You... the sad girl!...

Do you still remember that guy... yeha... that guy...

Call him... and invite for a walking talk...

A lot of things to talk about... hopes for the future!....

Go ahead!...

Still walking trough the corners of your home???

What are you awaiting for?

Would like your friend to be myself!....

its easy to say get your hair/nails done etc but sometimes that isnt financially viable as anyone with kids will know, lol. When i have time free without my kids(and im not going out) i sometimes do stuff that i wouldnt if they were there have a PEACEFUL bath without anyone banging on the door to use the toilet or gel their hair,lol...or buy a treaty ready meal that you really like and have it...all for you or if they're away overnight or something either have a saucy night with your partner or get drunk and dance around yoiur house naked, dress up in some of the clothes you dont wear much and do your face n hair or have a movie fest of some movies that you love but never watch coz theyre inappropriate for kids to watch( and by the time you get to the tv usually its just in time to flop down and pass out with exhaustion,haha)...these are just some ideas and even if you do one thing that you really feel like at a time soon you'll rediscover yourself and some things may even have changed so you might surprise yourself too, good luck and if all else fails, curl up on the sofa with chocolate, watch some crappy chat show until you fall asleep :0)

Find yourself a little bit of outdoor space with at least a tree in the view and sit down with a cup of coffee, coke whatever.Feel the autumn sunshine filtering onto your skin. Look up into the clouds and marvel. Marvel at having created all those, missing for the day kids;marvel at the intricacies of the leaves on the trees.Marvel at each breath you take and before you know it the day will have slipped away and the real world will be back.
But somewhere in your brain you will have the memories of pure delight in a cloud , a leaf, a ray of sunshine or a sip of coffee. And that can't be beat!!

Do you have any type of hobby that you used to enjoy before the kids came along? Find something you enjoy doing, reading, crafts, music, whatever and make time to do it now. You will feel better for having some 'me' time. Even if you can only fit it in one or two days a week for an hour or two----you really need to do it. It's important to look after yourself too. Even if the 'me' time is nothing but a relaxing bubble bath or long shower with no interruptions you really need it .

If you take snapshots, sort them and write the dates on them. Look up some new recipes to surprise your family with. Make a list of the things you want to learn about or try doing. Write some real letters to people you admire. Doesn't have to be celebrities. Take a nap. Veg out in front of the TV not watching what you watch when your kids are home. Watch a video. Personally, I watch Pirates of the Caribbean or the Jurassic Park movies. easy to watch and be entertained by.

I had the same problem when my kids left home. You have to figure out who you are and what you enjoy. You could start by making a list of things you enjoy and want you want from life. It will help you to remember who you are. Think of other things that aren't geared too much towards being a mom. Kids will make you lose yourself if thats all you want. They grow up and need you less. You need more time for yourself and what YOU need.

if you like shopping and have no money go window shopping and just dream hop a bus and see the city for a couple of dollars go to the park and bring a good book and read in the sun the simple things in life can be the most rewarding but most of all don't let yourself get in the rut of staying indoors all day on your days of by yourself it gets very depressing

Shopping is always fun. Or go to a movie. Go to a coffee house to just sit and read a magazine/newspaper. Enjoy yourself.

Read a book, watch a movie, go shopping, go for a walk, visit a friend, bake a cake, write a letter to a friend or relative. . . the possibilities are endless!

I'm in a similar position- we all feel like that sometimes. Still, I may fit in a spot of thumb-twiddling before the day is out!
