I stopped relaxing it 2 moths ago and I put braids in it on August the 19th. How long will it take?

The braids, assuming they are not too tightly braided on your head, will help to eliminate some of the damage associated with using heat, combing and brushing etc. However, your rate of growth is pretty much genetically determined and for most people about 1/2 in per month. One suggestion is to also supplement your diet with Fish Oil tablets which will add natural oil to your scalp, and Cod Liver Oil tablets which will add luster and help with the growth of the hair (there is a reson that many scandinavians who have lusterous hair and skin swear by cod!) It is available in any drugstore and they do not have a fishy taste or smell.

You should also invest a little time in seeing a professional hairstylist to see what they think about the state of your hair now, and their suggestions for where you should go next in terms of hairstyle to compliment your newly grown out relaxer.

Hair griws 1/8th-1/2 inch a month, this is true, BUT, the braids isnt gonna help. The stress of the weight and the tightness of braids will continue to pull out your new growth, and can cause breaking on previously relaxed hair

Ive heard a natural hair growth, is 3 inches every 2 months. Yet, I had dyed my hair 3 weeks ago, and now my roots are showing fast..so you can never tell how fast your own hair may grow. I hope you get the length you want, sooner than expected.

Well braids also tear your hair out too! But normally if you're taking care of your hair the way you're supposed to, you have to just give it time!

you can never be sure some peoples grow back faster than others, but the best thing to do is just keep your hair moisturized, keeping your hair conditioned is the key to healthy black hair.

The rate of hair growth varies from person to person, so there is no definitive answer to your question.
