heheh you kidding me right? this little diddy was from a '98 missive expressing muslim pleace and understanding for Americans.

"We -- with Allah's help -- call on every Muslim who believes in Allah and wishes to be rewarded to comply with Allah's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan's U.S. troops and the devil's supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson."

Islam- the reason is quite simple. You can only rightly judge the present day followers of a particular religion by discerning how closely alligned their actions are with the personal actions of its FOUNDER...in the case of Islam, Mohammed. Islamic history is littered with examples of how Mohammed either directly killed or ordered others to kill those who disparaged his Islamic movement. Some may object and assert that Christianity also has a blood stained past. However, the difference is that violence in the name of Christ cannot be anchored into any similar examples in the life of its founder- Christ (nor Paul or Peter). Therefore, violence is the illogical, perverted outworking of Christianity. In short, violence in Islam is the LOGICAL outworking of taking a LITERAL reading of the Koran, whereas violence in Christianity is the ILLOGICAL outworking of taking a lsimilar literal reading of the New Testament.

If they want violence then its the one that was spread by the sword.
If they want to practice tolerance and compassion, then buddhism but more philosophy than a religion.
