Perfectly normal. Baby's prefer one side to the other. Just make sure that you are rotating your breasts every feeding. Have him/her feed on the large side longer though to get them more even. Once you get them even, kep the rotation. It happened to me and I didn't notice until my father said something. I have 3 brothers so he's not a novice to babies and mothers.

That's a long trip so soon! If you're committed to nursing, pump like a maniac well before you leave. You'll need mountains of pumped milk, especially in case of a growth spurt. Also make sure you pump while you're gone, every 3 or 4 hours should do it, depending on how much you can pump at once. Freeze it if you can, but if all you have is a refrigerator, that keeps milk fresh for a few days; you'll be able to save quite a few bottles! Breastmilk can stay at room temperature up to 6 hours, so keep that in mind when you're traveling home. Maybe it'll be too far for it to stay fresh.

Your right side might be producing more milk than the other. If you aren't already doing this make sure that you alternate which side your baby nurses on first at each feeding. Lots of times they don't completely empty both breasts in one feeding. They will empty the first one but maybe not the second one. If you always start with the right side it may be tricking your body into thinking that one side needs more than the other. Also, it's pretty common for one side to be bigger than the other naturally.

Its perfectly normal. Infants tend to prefer one side to the other, and will nurse more from that side, which means one side usually is larger because of greater production.
Ask your doctor or le leche leader how to compensate. You probably can pump the small side after feeding, to increase supply on that side.
BUt in all honesty, all women are lop sided to some extent, and in most women the larger breast is the right. ITs perfectly normal. Check out swim suit models, really look at their boobs, you'll notice one is bigger. Or actresses on TV, theres always a larger breast. :) Part of life. Our bodies arent perfectly symetrical.

Many women have 1 breast that is 'larger' than the other. No sin in that.
When you breastfeed, start with the right breast first, then offer the left. When you feed next time, start with the left, then offer the right. Should help even things out.

Drain one side yourself if the baby cannot attach.... Maybe your husband could help, It may be fun.. You can also buy pumps.. Use the pimp to lessen the load on the larger breast and use that milk for bottles or ocassions where breast feeding is inappropriate.. All thoug I think it is fine to do it anywhere you want.. Society is so screwed up.. Good Luck

I had this problem years ago when i breast feed. Now mine are just fine. You may always have one just a little bigger than the other but don't worry. It will all balance out.

Does it hurt? If so there could be an infection; otherwise, this is a normal thing you'll just have to get used to during the duration of nursing. If you're very concerned, call your ob/gyn or lactation consultant.

which ever is smaller. let the baby nurse on more or even just suckle more even if he is not getting much milk it will stimulate that breast to produce more.
