I know it kills brain cells, but has there been an empirical study suggesting it actually affects everyday brain function?

After last night I sure felt dumber this morning!

it kills of the brain cells so eventually yes. The thing is that you have millions and billions of brain cells so you don't notice the difference right away. It takes years. why do you think all those winos are on the street?

It inhibits your ability to reason on a normal basis. It interferes with your common sense. If you know how alcohol makes you feel, or you see the dumb things it makes you do, then you know, its going to affect your brain.
I haven't heard of studies saying that it actually destroys brain cells like weed or some other substance might, but you know it does destroy other parts of your body.
If you drink it on a daily basis, then yes, its most certainly going to affect how you function, and since your brain controls what you do, then it obviously it affects your brain to some extent.

There are times however, when I really really miss going out and 'boozin' it up a bit and having some fun. Go figure lol.

Of course it makes you dumber!!! It does kill brain cells and it even SHINKS your brain. Plus all the other bad things it does to your body. I am about to have a total hip replacement and i was researching this and it said that excessive drinking could be an issue in having bad bones, etc. Drinking contributes to many, many illnesses and ailments.....i KNOW, i'm paying the price now after having a somewhat wild and crazy life when i was younger.....i'm sowing what i reaped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!!!
