My mother lives near Muskegon, Michigan and has adopted an older Papillon dog and would like to meet/chat with other owners, club members, breeders, rescues or start a club if there isn't one already up and going.

http://www.papillonclub.org/ This is the link for the parent breed club. At the least they will know the people in your area and be able to put you in contact with the local clubs.
http://www.papillonclub.org/rescue/ This is their rescue site.
http://www.papillonclub.org/pcabreederslist.htm#MICHIGAN These are the Papillon breeders in MI. I would like to say kudos to you (or your mother) for adopting a dog....a lot of people dont know just how many purebreds are sitting in shelters.

This is just a pet site, with lots of helpful, knowledgeable members. I live in Muskegon and used to work at a vet clinic. I can only remember one papillon patient there. I'm sure there are many papillon's in Muskegon though. Just not a real popular breed here and I don't believe there is a breeder around here. If so, they are a BYB and not worthy of any info thy may have, for they are only about the money and not the health. They are beautiful dogs! Good luck!

She could try going to your local kennel club to meet others.
