well iam a girl and love to answer this Qs.
well if some girl tells a guy that he is awesome and hot it depends on the person wat his reaction will be .well according to me if the girl herself is good looking and the boy is interested in her he would surely feel happy . If the guy is not interested in that gal he will just give a fading smile and swich on another topic.

If the girl is young and beautiful, I feel pleased.
Otherwise, I feel akward or feel scared.
