"To me intolerance is a sign of weakness especially to ones faith."
I completely agree.
The Muslim reaction to the Pope's comment ironically is validating the quote about Islamic violence.
When atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hare campaigned against prayer in public schools, she received numerous death threats from Christians. A Christian who has confidence in his religion would never feel threatened by atheism and the same is true when applied to Muslims.

No, it's not fair.
I think many of the Muslims get all excited about anything to do with their faith, because they have no control over anything else in their lives. Their votes don't count, too many are out of work and poor, and any protests against their governments are rapidly squashed by brutal means.
That leaves religion as their only outlet.

Yes, you're right. I've noticed that it's always the guilty ones who complain the loudest when they can find a way to blame someone for wrongdoing.
For example. In retail, I have taken part in many apprehensions of shoplifters. It's amazing to me how often they will rant, rave, scream, and yell that they are being harassed, and that they will sue us for false arrest. Only to find that when they are searched, they are concealing hundreds of dollars in stolen merchandise. In fact, it's the loudest ones who usually end up having drug paraphernalia in their cars, and many times concealed weapons. The quiet ones who put up no fight, are usually the ones who have very little stolen merchandise on them.
Basically, the more you cry foul, the more likely you are to be just as guilty of the same or worse. If Muslims were understanding, fair, just, and unlikely to falsely accuse other religions of evil...they would not have put up such a fuss. They think everyone's as evil as they are...

I hear they are/were planning a "day of anger" around the world. I mean, this is the ONLY violent, murderous group who does all in the name of their religion.
Their latest declaration of war I take very personally. It is as if they threatened to kill me and my daughter. I will fight them to the death.
The thing is, they were pissed because it was said that they "convert" at the point of the sword. In their latest death threat, the last thing in it was, that they would give an opportunity to Americans to convert, or kill them by the sword.
I just hope they bring their sword to my gunfight!

The pope was saying that god is a rational being, Islam is based ona system that controls every moment and every though from when you wake until you sleep. Being Muslim requires you to suspend your rationality, otherwise you may question why you prey to a meteorite 5 times a day and think a child molester is the prophet of god. the christian king who had survived attack after attack of Muslims upon his Christian kingdom, noted and this is what the pope quoted that Islam offers nothing new, it is based on existing beliefs and practiced and enforces conversion with the sword. the current Muslim behaviour demonstrates how fundamental violence is to the Islam, it can not then or now tolerate rational debate. many people who have not read the Koran equate the Koran with the bible and its message of peace. the Koran is hateful book full of Mohamed's dishonorable acts and urges Muslims to kill you and your children. I enclose just a few quotes to illustrate this from the Koran:
Surah II: 98 – “Allah is the enemy of the unbelievers.”
Surah II: 191-193 – “Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them….Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah.”
Surah II: 216 – “Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know.”
Surah III: 19 – “Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam…and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.”
Surah IV: 104 – “Be not weak in pursuit of the enemy.”
Surah V: 51 – “O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whosoever among you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”
Surah VIII: 12 – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
Surah VIII: 15-17 – “O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, turn not your backs to them. Whoever shall turn his back to them on that day – unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company – then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah’s wrath, and his abode is hell… So you did not slay them, but it was Allah who slew them…that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.”
Surah IX: 29 – “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth… until they pay the tax in acknowledgement of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”
Surah IX:33 – “[Allah] it is who sent His Apostle with guidance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions, though polytheists may be averse.”
Surah IX: 73 – “O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is their destination.”
Surah IX: 123 – “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in your hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).”

I think you are correct in your assessment.
Keep in mind, some people choose to fight for something they believe very strongly in rather than forgive ignorance and try to use reason to persuade. I think this is the case with several Muslims in the world today.

Fear and insecurity lead to violence. Pure and simple. Why do you think a "religion" would preach violence when it is contested? It is a religion of fear that these people follow.
