Republicans in Congress just passed a higher debt legislation?
It will be $9 trillion over 10 years. They want to end Social Security.
Republicans don't care that the world hates Americans. They care about tax cuts for the wealthy. They also care about short term gain and the long term pain for America is not a problem for them.
BTW, Republicans also don't care about the $200 billion trade deficit with countries like China. There stock investments are what is important to them. Republicans also do not care about the millions of jobs lost to countries like India. Many Republicans have Local, State or Federal Government do nothing jobs or they don't really do any work. They make there living on the backs of the working class tax payers.

Do you mean why don't they? Old-school conservatives (like myself) aren't behind the leaders we have now. But when faced with a choice between a Republican party that has moved to the right and a Democratic party that has moved even further left (and thus, represents our ideals even less), it seems like the best options are to either (1) stay the course and work within the party structure to pull it back toward the center, or (2) defect to a third party. I'm still weighing those options myself.

It's a matter of perspective. They feel the GOP is doing a good job. I don't, but that's my opinion. Isn't America great that you can have a difference of opinion and not be persecuted for it?

Nice of you foreigners to care so much about our politics.
Do you get to vote in your country?
Can you criticize your politicians?
Do you poke womens' eyes out for using make-up?
Do you cut womens' lips off for using lipstick?
