I doubt it. Tiger Woods is a great golfer because he has the talent and the skills, not because he uses the new, cool clubs. If you want to improve your game, practice more.

I disagree with the other answers here. Your game may very well improve with a better set of clubs. If you make a large investment in golf clubs, the chances are you will commit yourself more seriously to the game. If that happens, your game will indeed improve.

For most players (i.e., the ones who play a couple times a month or so), better equipment won't do much to improve your game. Particularly for woods, the big difference is in how far you're able to hit the ball. However, distance isn't the problem with the play of most amateur golfers. Better clubs and other equipment might make marginal improvements to your game (maybe a couple strokes), but not by much.

Not neccessarily, but I am a believer in the new technology that is available in the "Game Improvement Clubs". Features like cavity back, wide sole, perimeter weighting and sole weighting will help a player get the golf ball up in the air and will help keep off center shots on line.

A set of clubs properly fitted to you and your swing will improve your game. They do not have to be expensive name brand clubs.
