It is illogical. Think about this also---Jesus was dead for the better part of three days. If Jesus is God and was dead for that long--then who was ruling in heaven all that time? If the holy spirit is also God, then it was dead too. So there would have been no God alive to pray to those three days, no God to do anything for anyone. Satan could have taken over the entire universe since "God" was dead. Satan is powerful and could have caused complete chaos for the earth, worse than we see now, if there was no God more powerful to prevent him from doing so.
Christendom has misled so many people by teaching them such a false pagan doctrine. If only people could come to know the true God (Psalms 83:18) and who he really is. Jesus tried to tell people about his Father and that they should worship his Father alone.
The reason people believe in such doctrines is found at
2 Timothy 4:3-4--"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."
I hope this answer helps.

Well,
if I were you, Sir, I would get the biblical
story right before I tried to understand
and question it.
Point One:
There is God (in the story) the Father.
Point Two:
Then there is Jesus (in the same story) the Son.
So, Jesus was not God.
And, just to finish the
question's first two items,
humans didn't, therefore,
kill God. They (the humans)
killed the Son of God
(according to ancient history and the biblical texts).
Now, as to the saving himself part,
the story line suggests that Jesus'
primary role in life was to do exactly
what he did. Jesus was supposed
to die in redemption for the sins of
man, and smooth the pathway for
followers of his teachings to attain
passage into the ethereal residence
of God and his Angels.
So,
there was no cause for Jesus
to attempt to free himself from
the missery of his last days as
a human on this Planet. He was
living out his devine destiny.
And,
just so you get the who's and the what's
in roughly the correct places, Jesus
did not (according to the story) create
this situation. He only lived out the role.
God (a character in the story) was not
seen, ever, by man. And, God (according
to the story) set up the situations in which
Jesus confronted and argued with the
pillars of society in those anchient times.
So, we are taught, it was God directing
all this action from the beginning.
Have you ever heard the words: "...gave
his only begotten son..." Hmm-m, those
words seem to indicate what I just said.
You didn't think that Jesus had a son did
you? Of course not.
Hope this helps you in future thoughts about
the subject. I do not wish to assume the role
of someone who is "holier than thou", I just
have a hard time answering a question filled
with so many basic errors. In my opinion,
Sir, you should research your facts more
fully before posing such poignant questions.

Jesus was born on this earth as a human being and hence has to perform all the things like a normal human being not utilising the powers of God just not to interfere in the destiny of humans made by God., hence God was not killed by human beings but a human was killed by the humans

Jesus was Gods sacrifice to the world for all the sin man created. He was born for this purpose, He was sent here to spread the word of God and get people to believe and have faith by the miracles he performed. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ, by believing that he is your Saviour. Hence the Holy Spirit or Trinity, which is God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost which is a combination of God and Jesus which are now one.

it was all part of God's plan from the gettgo...he knew adam and ever would sin and be cast out of the garden....and because he already decided that sin can't be in heaven had to create a way to atone for it...wash it away...so he nominated his right hand man. Sent him to earth as a baby and his sole purpose was to die on a cros and take the worlds sin to hell with him for 2 days and then raise again on the 3rd and decended back up to heaven to sit on the right hand of God. Before this...animal sacrifice was needed to cover peoples sins, we don't have to do this now because Jesus bore our sins for us. And i'm thank-ful for this, but there is still so much that doesn't make sence to me, and how do we know that this is all true anyway? it boggles my mind, but this is what i was taught to believe.

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus are simply a waste of time. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. %-}

Jesus had the power.( and rose from death ! ) But if Jesus hadn't gone to the cross, we wouldn't have been able to go to Heaven. Blood was needed for sin. What better way than God himself? This made atonement for us, once and for all. All we need to do is accept it.

Jesus gave His life to save man from sin, He had the power to lay down His life and the power to raise it back up. Jesus was very man of very man and very God of very God, He was not half Man and half God. Jesus was fully God and fully man.Jesus died a perfect man.

Jesus did have the power to save Himself--He loved us so much as to choose to die for our sins.
