Anyone who is a Christian is bound by Scripture. Now I understand that if necessary we are to rebuke, reprove, exhort,..However, we are to do those things with all patience.
I don't see that happening here with the unbelievers folks!!

We can rebuke someone who blasphemes, we can correct false doctrines. But no where in Scripture are we to enter into mud slinging. If you don't know what you're talking about, and simply turn to the flesh to win against someone who has given you a debate that you do not know how to addresss, then the fault lies with YOU..

Christian apologetics is that branch of Christianity that deals with answering any and all critics who oppose or question the revelation of God in Christ and the Bible. Apologetics can be defensive and offensive. Phil. 1:7 gives us instruction on the defensive side

2 Cor. 10:5-6 gives us instruction on the aggressive side...Anyone can ‘do’ apologetics. All it takes is a willingness, a little work, and the Spirit of God in you.

I agree. I can't understand why Christians think they can quote the Bible to occultists and tell them they're going to Hell and think that will help change their view of Christians.

I think we need to start emailing these people on an individual basis to give them some pointers.

There's a good book called "136 Bible Contradicitions...Answered!" by Brad McCoy, BTW, that I'm trying to make available for download if I ever get around to typing it up (it won't scan).

there should be respect for those who disagree with anyone else here. we who are tolerant must be tolerant of those who are not. if we want our opinions and Belief Systems respected then we should also respect those who disagree with us. discussions are good as these lead to exchange of thoughts and ideas often better than the ones anyone came up with before the discussions. however arguments never solve anything as these only cause hard feelings and resentment against each other.

Well I completely disagree with your viewpoint and beliefs, but I will defend your right to hold them to the death if neccessary. That's what free speech is all about. Usually the mud slinging is in lieu of intelligent words to counter in debate. Unfortunately not everyone is as articulate as you. Shame that someone so intelligent can still believe in myths, peace.

Exactly

"He who abuses his abuser is the worse of the two. To refrain from retaliation is to win a battle hard to win. If one knows that the other person is angry but refrains from anger oneself, one does what is best for oneself and the other person also. One is a healer of both"

Well spoken.
Mutual respect in here would certainly be a good thing.

I'm an angel. I kill firstborns while their mamas watch. I turn cities into salt. I even, when I feel like it, rip the souls from little girls, and from now till kingdom come, the only thing you can count on in your existence is never understanding
WHY????????????
