And why are some encouraging it by taking time to answer it?

silly questions or remarks that make people smile is not actually bad. I was doing it myself. But to directly mock ones faith is a different case.

I see what you're saying, but on the other hand, I'd rather see those questions than the questions that lead to a multi-page fight with everyone screaming at each other and getting all serious about some Bible translation or the infamous creation/evolution debate or something like that. This section in particular tends to trigger a lot of emotion, so lighthearted, silly questions like that don't bother me here. Why not ask a couple questions that aren't serious, for a change? When they start to take over the forum, that's one thing, but I don't see why they're so bad every now and then.

I agree, it is just so shallow- but I guess we are a mixture of different personalities, intelligence, cultures and last but not least:age and maturity. I for one have seen some hair raising things on Q&A, but have also had so much good advice and mature answers while being insulted as well, I just realise that the ones with such questions and insults must be the youngsters, if I was a teenager I might have done the same- the brain is not fully developed at that age. Not to worry, still some real people out here- I think you guy's are great (majority anyway)

Sometimes those questions come about because someone actually says "God has a penis"... or that God is specifically male. People in mainstream religions are not traveling the main stream. They're in the backwaters still trying to figure out how to swim.

i know.....its questions like those tht make me lose faith in the human race........its just soooooo soooo stupid,sooo disrespectful.....if they are just bored let thm ask stupid questions in some other topic......religion and god is an extremely personal thing and is no laughing matter...people ought to be more careful of what they say,whether its the pope or the tramp walking down the street(although people wont be paying much attention to the latter)
