Cat fur is what remains on the cat itself. The stuff cats shed is referrd to as hair.

Fur when it is attached. And cat hair is what you find on the couch and clothes when the cat sheds.

It can be either. they have fur but when you go to the vet the breed of cat (if you have just a regular ol cat) is domestic short,medium or long hair.

I think it is coat, or hair. You usaully use fur if you are describing the softness or the thickness of the coat.

The individual strands are called 'HAIR',the combined is the 'FUR'.Just like, a WHEEL,consists of a RIM and a TIRE.

even two-legged animals apart from humans r said to have fur
