I think as a child grows they come to realize that other people's feelings can get hurt by their actions. Young children and adolescents can be very self involved so much so that they don't take into consideration anyone else's feelings. As a person matures into their 20's and 30's they should be beginning to be more selfless and care more about how they act around others. But then again some people never grow up. I think it depends on the child's personality and upbringing. This is just a generalization. Some children have always been and always will be pleasant and mindful of others and some act differently.

This is such an open ended question. the simple answer is, it is different for every child/adult. some never do. their behavior greatly depends on may things, upbringing, childhood, adulthood and emotional circumstances. the golden rule is most people do things for a reason good or bad, there is an exception to the rule where sometimes people just do bad things continually throughout their life no matter what with no rhyme nor reason. anger , hurt, loss of a loved one, abuse, bullying , all these things and many more are issues that often cause bad/unusual behavior patterns.

Im not overly sure what you mean by your question so its hard to answer - how are your children emotionally wounding you? I once asked a day care teacher when the terrible twos ended and she said when they move out of home :)

Depending on the child, never. I know that my darling two girls share the ocassional hurtfull thought with me only out of hormonal activity. Generally, they are loving kids growing up in a loving family.

As soon as you put a stop to it. Just don't go there. No one can hurt you if you do not allow it. Only you are in control of your feelings.
