The world is an open book.
If you are into History - do the freedom trail in BOSTON --- MA. If you go there - you must also hit the North End and eat Itailian food. Lovely.
If you are into Boating/jet skiing ect... - Lake of the Ozarks - MO
If you are into Beaches / Oceans -- San Diego CA - or Myrtle Beach.
Are you into Rock & roll History? Cleaveland OH
Are you into Baseball? Field of Dreams - IA
Are you into Harley's? MIlwaukee Wisconsin.
Are you into Relaxing and Eating Awesome Seafood ? Cape Cod.
Think of things you really enjoy - then go find where they are at and check it out.
Life is too fun to waste your vacations doing nothing.
Travel and see what there is to see!
Enjoy!

Peru - to hike the andes
Cambodia - to Angkor Wat
Honduras - to scuba dive off Roatan or Utila
Alaska - to climb glaciers
Switzerland - to ski the Alps
(sorry, I've never been one to sit on the beach or lunge around on vacation - get up and move)

I am craving to go to the desert (Negev desert) alone for true vacations and a real peaceful time.
If I'd go with other people though, I'd go to the Galilee or Golan Heights. It is nice there.. lots of water, lots of green, etc.
By the way, these places are in Israel if you didn't understand...heheh ;-)
