I believe in my religion, and Christianity, too. I have been going to this school since Kindergarten. I only go to this school, because the Chicago public schools are very bad. I think Jesus was a great man, and I do believe strongly in my own faith. I'm not taking it just because I want to. I mean, at school, on ash wednesday, non-christians are allowed to recieve an ash.

My Friend,
In order to take communion, u need to understand what it is that you are doing.
In Catholic and Orthodox faith, u r not taking mere bread and wine, but rather, IN TRUTH, actual body and blood of Christ.
Now, you mentioned that "I believe Jesus was a good man"...Christian faith is knowing that Christ was not only man, but the one and only true God, incarnated in the fullness of time, but has no begining and no end to his divinty. In comparison to Hindusim, where there is a belief in millions of God, and does not recognise the oness of the One true God, Christ, there is substancial differences there. That is why the Church does not allow communion to other faith believers. Since your school allowed it, I cannot comment as to whether the did it knowingly or unknowingly, but I can say that it should not have happened.
What I do recommend is, stop having communion, do your research, and make a true and honest decision as to what your true belief is. Truth is absolute and unchanging, u should start your journey as to defining what that truth to you means...either Hinduism, or Christianity. In as much as I would love to tell you what the truth is, u should find it yourself, it is far more rewarding.
and do not do the journey on your own...as the True God to guide you and revele himself to you and ask Him to guide you what the only truth is...but just as a pointer, if you believe that christ was a "good man" then trust in his words when he said "seek and you shall find"...and have faith.
If you do settle on the truth that is only in Jesus Christ, become a true convert, get baptised, and then you can bask and enjoy the happiness that comes from Truth Communion with the Body and Blood of Christ.
I hope this helps...God bless you my friend.

Look hun, Ur mom made the decisions she felt confortable with. U in the other day need to worry about urself, Im not telling u that Hindu is wrong or that catholic is right. Im just telling u that u need to make ur own decision as far as something serious like that, Just go for what ur gut tells u and pray to God that he would guide u where ever u need to be. At the end of the day ur stuck alone right.

Who is a Hindu? The question was answered by the Kerala High Court thus: Any one who says he/she is a Hindu is a Hindu.
If you tell the church that you are a Hindu , you want to remain a Hindu and yet take communion, they will either say yes or no.If they so no the matter ends . If they say yes , you can go ahead if you wish.

There is no need for any confusion. Dont follow too many religions. Follow one religion and try to understand its principles fully. Respect other faiths also as the religions are all different similar roads to the same destination. In your case you try to understand more about Hinduism and faithfully follow the teachings there because it is an ancient religion and its principles suit all time.It gives you enough scope for searching and finding and ultimately realizing the truth as you grow older. Wish you good luck.
Like copticpho there are many who have not understood the Hindu religion and are always ready to offer opinionated remedies to all ills. There are not million or trillion gods in Hinduism. Hinduism also preaches one god only. How about the Father and the Holy Ghost are they representing multiple gods in Christianity. I dont think so. Similarly with Hinduism too. Whatever you choose do it with your eyes fully open. That requires searching for the truth.

DO NOT LISTEN to what most of these people tell you! Just look into your heart & see what is true for you. Do you think God cares if you eat a little cracker & drink a little grape juice in a building that they claim to be his, but if his son showed up at the door they would more than likely turn him away. Harsh words but true. There is not one church in this world that would welcome him with open arms. They have all missed the mark. Why have they not bound together in the name of love and made this a better world to live in. Why have they not thrown their doors open to feed and clothe & shelter people EVERYDAY as love commands. Why because they are not of God, they are of the world. Well you so called christians bring on your persicution; I can take it!

Technically I believe that you should be denied communion, as that is a remembrance of Jesus as our Savior and the act of dying for our sins. If you cannot agree with that, then you should not be taking communion.
I am Wesleyan, and we have directives that only if you are Christian should you take communion.

Taking communion is a physical act to show your belief in God. I feel that you should stay strong in your religion regardless what it may be and if you feel it's wrong then don't do it. If anything I would respect you more for standing up for what you believe in.

If you are not Catholic - do NOT take communion. This is a sacred act in Christianity and in Catholism they only allow Catholics to take communion.

Religion is a very personal thing, and it's your relationship with your God that is important, not what people might think or say.
Be true to yourself and your beliefs.
