Just checking in after reading the answers you have so far....
Do people really think the human race will die out if some of the population is homosexual? That's ridiculous!
PLUS...because homosexuals can't procreate, they are more likely to adopt so they can have a family. How on earth can this be a bad thing? Giving a family to a child who doensn't have one?
I'm straight myself, but this kind of discrimination pisses me off.

Imagine this, today at 12:00pm the whole world is gay, What's gonna be the future of humanity? I don't know if you knew that to keep humanity running you need the union of a man and a woman, Don't tell me know, "Oh, that can be done in vitro or by artificial insemination" Is it the same? No. Perhaps, What's the idea of being gay? Isn't natural, any ways. Why to look in couple for the same things I have? Perhaps a gay relation is more sexual than sentimental and when there are feeling nothing comes out from them, man and man and woman and woman "love" can't have consummate. Do you know what is the prize and the consummate of love? A family, a baby, a balance, etc. A gay relationship will never give you all that.

The two clowns who "answered" first are typically clueless theists. Most animals in nature still procreate in ways other than humans, and homosexual behaviour (better termed hermaprhoditic behaviour) is commonplace in ALL species, not just humans. Read Bruce Bagemihl's "Biological Exuberance" to get the facts.
Single celled organizms and viruses still split and replicate; in fact, that's how human DNA still does. The difference is our DNA is far more complex than that of worms. Hermaphrodites still change gender either to reproduce, or the young changes gender in the egg depending on the environment (eg. reptiles); in fact, that's how human DNA still does. All human males start out as FEMALE in the womb, but change to male because of the Y chromosome. The reality is, the fixed male/female gender split is only a recent phenomenon in mammals.

There are still many species that practice supposedly "abnormal" behaviour: one species of reptile has NO males, only females, yet the females practice behaviours that in humans would be deemed "lesbian". In felines, many males _kill_ the offspring of other males to make the females come in heat again, thus making it more likely for the killer to be a father.

Sure.
Per the theory of evolution, the primary goal is the continuation of the species. Gays cannot reproduce and therefore cannot contribute to the species propagation.
Per biology, without getting graphic, the appropriate functions of certain body parts are not used as they were intended. This leads to many problems not encountered in the general populace.

Not without giving a personal opinion. Yet for centuries culture has opposed homosexuality. Even in the most primitive cultures it is believed to be against nature and the natural way it should be. That is between two different sexes or genders not of the same gender.
It is not just a society taboo but also a moral taboo.

Lots of reasons. It is unsanitary, cannot bear children that way, God did not and does not bless it (abomination to him) - a marriage is between one man and one woman. Also this is not discrimination, everyone wants to bring this up - it is about "SIN" -just calling it what it really is. God ordained marriage and sex between male and female ONLY. Listen if you don't want "religious" answers need to find another place to post. Also the Bible is not authorless - has many authors who were REAL because the Bible is REAL and authoratative.
ALso we don't accept the earth is so that old - because it is not, which is the truth. Only 6000 or maybe 12000 years old ONLY - just the facts. The earth is very young.

Being gay is not wrong, do not listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
But some reasons could include the fact two men/women cannot reproduce.
Homosexual relations have been celebrated and was seen as normal in some ancient cultures - Romans, Greeks, Samarai's in China and in ancient Arabia.
In the animal kingdom, a male and female get together to procreate and extend their species through another generation.
Same sex couples cannot do this. Apart from that though there is nothing wrong with being gay, some animals enjoy same sex relations.
And some females eat the male after sex - if thats not a great reason to be gay then i do not know what it :P My fiancee keeps calling herself the praying mantis..... :S

As an atheist I observe the fact that evolution formed our reproductive organs so when a male mates with a female a new life can form so the species can proliferate. A male does not mate with a male, or a female does not mate with a female to further the species. Don`t take this personally, I don`t have a problem with you, I`m just answering your question.

Marriage of two people(straight) does have an effect to colleagues,government,relatives and society...
Any kind of relationship has an effect on its environment directly or indirectly....Every time human beings come into a relationship, whether business, marital, sexual, or even criminal...it affects the environment and the people who witness that relationship.
We all know that there are marriages that caused new friends.And some of those new friendships changed the lives of others.
We can't ignore the fact that gay marriages will AFFECT our environment and society...
The question is "will it affect it negatively or positively?"...LET"S SEE:
You see, human beings inately know that a woman and man relate in a certain manner...that is why most small boys become shy when one jokingly asks them if they have a girlfriend...they seem to giggle in shyness...that shyness comes from the fact that they were born with romance in them though they may not know how to express it maturely as yet.
Looking at the design of a woman and a man, they were designed to complement each other physically and emotionally!But two men were not designed to complement each other.
A woman has a vagina that has a design to accommodate a penis of a man during sex. A man pours spermatozoids into a woman and she becomes pregnant...With a gay relationship this is impossible.
The very nature(psychological,emotional & physical) of a woman and a man does not advice us to allow gay marriages...
A man can try to act like a woman but her inner and outer design will still disagree with his fake-feminine-like behavior. And this is going to confuse "straight" children they(gay couples) adopted.You don't know if your child is straight or not until she grows up!
A man-man marriage will affect the inborn psychological nature of a growing girl negatively!How?
A woman is emotional and her body is designed to accommodate this trait of her...
If gay marriages are allowed, girls who grow up in such marriages will not learn that a female can relate well with a male figure!
And boys would not learn to relate well with female figures in lesbian relationships.Imagine, boys would probably ask "Mom,(referring to her "male" mom) why can't you become pregnant like my friend's mom?
A naturally-straight child who grew up in such relationships will experience the same confusion as in if he grew up in afamily that eventually divorces!
You may teach a straight girl to accept such relationships(gay and lesbian), but it would still affect her subconscious femininity.
God was not a fool to design men and women as they are...He wired them to complement each other psychologically and physically!
If nature did not see a need for a mother-father relationship, a singular gender would be able to naturally make babies without the help of the other...but this not the case because nature saw a need for a human child to be created by both because there should a special complementary teaching that a mother and a father should impart to their child(whether boy or girl).
Spiritually:
Homosexuality is a spiritual problem...there have been people we prayed for to be delivered from homosexuality, and they became straight again.Demons of homosexuality are very evil...that is why gays often drink, smoke, and behave in an exegerated manner...It is because those demons are trying to pervert the beauty of their gender.
Demons are able to manipulate the hormones of a humanbeing to feel like girl or a boy...such people need prayer.If you observed such behavior from your child, take him for deliverance at church.In Jesus' name, the child will behave according to his/her gender.
Satan cannot create therefore he is homosexual...Only God can create, human beings can create because they are created in the image of God...but Satan wants to corrupt God's purposes!
