Looking for a job is a fulltime job, and if you want a job, you have to deal with your boredom. You can spice it up though. You could work on your resume. You could work on your cover letter. You can meet with people in the field to ask them for advice on how to get the jobs they did. Do some practice interviews with a friend. Read up on your industry, and the companies you want to work for. Read some books on getting a job. You could also take some training classes, so that you are more employable. You could work on yourself too - get a haircut if you need one and do other grooming things like that if that is what your job search needs.
In your spare time, you should do things that you liked to do before, to keep up your self-confidence.Do things you are good at.
Looking for a job and dealing with rejection can sometimes make you feel unworthy, and lots of people withdraw from your friends and family. Don't do that. You need the support of the people around you, and this is when you should be reaching out to them.
Since you can't contribute financially, you can find other ways to contribute, like cleaning, repairing stuff, babysitting, etc. It isn't always about money. There are other ways you can show support.
