Yes, as said above, a nervous breakdown can occur at any age and can present differently for different people - I guess nowawadays perhaps what we call it is a mental health issue/problem.

If you're concerned, which it sounds like you are, then it;s time to see your doctor. It's always best to check these things out before they become more serious than they need to be.. Depending on what the doctor thinks, you may need to see a psych and perhaps start some meds, but believe me, it's best to do this now and you'll feel a lot better in no time! :)

Good luck!

If you need any advice give me an email: pola_pink_ocd at yahoo.co.uk - I suffered a semi nervous breakdown in the form of OCD and major depression at 17!

I was told that that the DSM does not recognize nervious breakdown. But yes, you can have mental health problems even as a child, so definitely at 25. What we call nervous breakdown is a set of symptoms that can be categorized into several different recognized illnesses.
Try to keep the stress reduced in your life and see a doctor. If you can't afford one, you can contact your local NAMI.

Yes I think stresses high enough to cause a nervous breakdown can be experienced at almost any age.

It is very possible, but I think that it is very sad that someone at 25 even has to be concerned with that....take it easy, life is 2 short 2 be letting yourself get that stressed, do something for yourself, and if it is others causing the problem, put some distance between you...good luck!

I think it is possible to have a nervous break down at any age, although children may manifest it in a way that doesn't seem so..
