Has anyone else noticed that people have started rolling out the paper towels at the basin so the next person using them doesn't have to touch the dispenser? It's very odd to me. Doesn't that expose the paper to all the germs in the area rather than keeping them clean and "behind the scene"?

i'd think it's not that they're being polite, i'd say they're just lazy enough at it that they roll off more than they need and then leave the extra hanging.

i never worry about germs on the paper, i worry about all the germs on the handle of the door you have to touch after you've thouroughly cleaned your own hands. ick.

I think people are just being polite. So you do not have to touch the knob. I doubt to many germs get on the paper. You could always rip it off and use it to touch the handle, then wash your hands.

Hmmm...never heard that one. Is that in the US or somewhere else? Honestly, I can't see my fellow Americans doing that! Sorry, but it's true.
