Everything that we undertake as human beings has an impact on our planet and disrupts the balance of nature. Material and deposits that have lain hidden under the earth's surface are broken down and dispersed into the atmosphere. The rate of consumption of renewable resources is greater than the rate at which nature can regenerate them. Most of us would agree that we cannot continue along this path.

Well, humans are usually the cause of the disruption of balance in Nature. For example, throwing away chemicals in the water; spilling oil in the ocean; cutting down trees; CFCs (you know, the chemicals that make a refrigerator cold); electricity; etc. etc.
