Personal money management.
There are a LOT of people who get into finanical trouble in their 20's because they don't seem to truly understand how credit cards work, and also know how a monthly budget can aid in avoiding those pitfalls. Even then, seasonal changes in bills must also be accounted for in the budget (namely heating and electricity use bills).
Sticking with your monthly budget is the harder part to having a monthly budget. THere is no one template for a budget, so just find out what annual costs someone has, reduce them to a monthly cost if they don't have a monthly pay period, and total up the person's total bills. Next add food money and some "fun" money as well into the budget, since the "fun" money is where most people go astray. Remeber that budgets can be changed. If your current budget isn't working, then it's time to recalculate to see where the money is going and decide whether to seek more income or cut back on costs.
The skill of making and sticking with a budget can really help people stay on good finanical footing, and can aid in more than just their work life, it will also aid them in their personal romatic lives, too, since money issues are a top reason for divorce.

The answers that you have gotten already are very good.
Journal their thoughts would be a very important life skill. They will be so surprised at the way that they think in their 20's to when they reach their 30's and up ...
I would also like to include "Respecting and remembering your elders" so many young ones tend to forget the older generations.
Are you capable of instilling a journal program into your mentoring program ?

Emotional Quotient and DISC
I really see this lacking among Singapore youth. DISC or temperament theory will help them to discover their strength and weaknesses and a good tool for self-awareness and anger management. Through DISC, they will able to find a suitable career. For example, a high D person can work in sales/management, a high C can work in accounting/medical field and a high S can work in engineering/teaching

Paying rent and bills on time would be a useful skill. Money management. It's practical and essential. Lack of money or proper money management skills is what can lead to desperation which can lead to criminal behavior.
